Nice family home with a friendly and helpful host. Lovely garden (it was raining when we were there so we didn't get a chance to enjoy it unfortunately).

Very clean, large bed, hot water, very nice garden, remote control for the gate, parking on site. You can hear the trains and the highway nearby. Poor breakfast and WiFi - the range is good but the data transfer is practically zero.

The breakfast was okay - not special. The gardens are immaculately kept and beautiful. The hosts were basically kind and friendly. The swimming pool looked potentially lovely Although it was clean and of an attractive design, the pool was uninviting, thanks to the permanently present vacuum cleaner on its floor and trailing hosepipes etc. We never saw anyone using it. The hotel facilities are otherwise quite basic, and we thought the property overpriced. The location of the property is scruffy and felt risky. The lane it's in is dark and we didn't feel safe walking home - necessary, because we couldn't get a taxi to take us there in the evenings after an early dinner. The towels were not changed in 5 nights. It was very hot and there was no air-conditioning. The worst thing, however, was that the chamber maid was extremely and unjustifiably rude to us. The host apologised when I told her what had happened, but still: we were very upset and it spoilt our stay.
