Bike & Boot

The staff were the most amazing part of the hotel, all friendly, willing to get down to my dogs level and be friendly (which she loved!) The room was ok but I like a little more comfort. The window would’t open very far and I could see why but it was a really warm day and night. The quilt was unevenly put in the cover and so there was bits of cover with mo quilt - I know, its a personal thing!! Although the room seemed clean it didn’t have that CLEAN feel about it. It wasn’t an issue but it put me off using the coffee maker and kettle. Overall I’d stay again and the toy and treats for the dog was so thoughtful. Loved the idea of buns and coffee available, missed the buns but had the lovely coffe. Loved the sitting room to relax in and meet other dogs and their owners…winner, winner, chicken dinner!!! Not necessarily difficult to find, I saw the hotel from every angle…just difficult to find where to park. Appreciate this is not the fault of the hotel and will know for next tome.

Exceptional

The staff were very friendly and helpful. Receptionists were first class. The quirkiness was unique. A very well run hotel and sea view from bedroom was wonderful. Didn't enjoy the meal . Mussel sauce very weak and focaccio bread stale.

This is my 3rd stay here, all for gigs at the Open Air Theatre. It's a fair walk to the venue but everything else about the hotel makes up for this. It's just a 10 minute walk from the railway station and the same down to the beach. There are plenty of places nearby for drinks and food. The rooms are nicely finished and most importantly for a bigger lady - the towels are huge! The small plates menu is very good but the best thing is the margaritas. Mr Margarita as I call the barman makes the best I've had and I've had a fair few! All in all, my favourite place to stay in Scarborough and one day perhaps I'll bring the dog.

Modern room decor & central location

The hotel was incredibly close to the beach and so close to the tram which the kids loved riding up and down on it. The staff where fantastic, I went with my friend for one night and we took our children age 6 and 7 and they told us about the cinema room they had for when we come back after dinner, when we got back the lady at reception took us down and showed us all of the films and she was incredibly patient especially listening to two children disagree on films for several minutes. We will 100% come back It was hard to get parking

Superb

Great hotel .We had two rooms a cosy boot room which the bed was very comfortable and clean. The suite was very spacious .The staff were very polite and friendly . It was situated next to all the amenities and the parking was good we will certainly visit again. Everything was nice

Friendly and clean Location

Very clean and welcoming. Bedrooms were nice The food. We paid £30 for 2 breakfasts when we had 2 slices of toast and a hot drink each. The food during evening and breakfast wasn’t great for us and let it down

Love the inside of the hotel and how easy it is to take the dog, relax and eat well. The family rooms are great and well stocked with what you need, even the mini bar fridge was well stocked and not ridiculous prices. Very comfortable beds and all round very happy with the facilities. The only major issue is the parking which is very difficult and random. We used the multi story indoor car park about 5 mins walk away which was reasonably priced. Given this is city centre location it is what it is. But it makes it more stressful than I’d like. But I’d definitely stop at either of these hotels again.

Lovely hotel, clean , nice decor, staff friendly. We stayed in a family loft room, only issue was very loud seagulls which is no fault of the hotels, so warm so had have windows open. Air con would have been a bonus. However this wouldn’t put us off staying again as there are so many plus’s to this hotel. As above

Beautiful big & clean rooms

Room was nice and big for a cosy double . Comfy bed . Nice walk in shower . Room was well equipped with safe, fridge, ironing board and iron and tea coffee facilities . Would definitely stay here again even though we were staying for a concert at the open air theatre and its at the other end of town it wasnt a deal breaker as the bus stop was just down the hill to get to North Bay and lwe had ots of facilities close by We were on the ground floor next to the exit and could hear the door slamming everytime it was opened . Could do with maybe a soft closing door . Other than that everything else was spot on

The location is exceptional, bang slap in the centre of Scarborough close to shops, cafes, restaurants, tramway. Once parked you can walk everywhere in South Bay really easily. Parking cost £5 for a special coupon for overnight stay in the public parking just above the hotel terrace (finishing half one on check out day). If you paid and displayed it would have been £6 for 3 hours max so this is a good deal, as long as you can get a space. We were there in August and managed to get one so I wouldn't let it put you off. Otherwise there is an underground car park or another hotel's multi storey close by, but expect to pay between £10-15 for 24 hours. We had a 'cosy double' which was exactly that, but at £50 cheaper than the standard rooms, I felt it was a bargain for a short stay. There are two different seating areas (one with loads of board games) and a bar restaurant on the bottom floor which make it feel luxurious and spacious. Decor is quirky and fun, we loved our Scarborough poster room blind. If you bring bikes/paddleboards there is dedicated space downstairs to store these, but you would need to repark once unloaded - Scarborough is not the most bike friendly place, and the North Sea is quite wild for paddleboards, so I would personally prefer this place as a weekend getaway destination rather than for an active break. We didn't try breakfast but be aware there are plenty of places close by so better to decide when you get there than book it in advance, in my opinion. The metal sink in the en suite was low and a bit strange - I think it's meant to be a design feature - might be great if you have a dog but not great for day to day face washing!
