Palm Court Hotel

Everywhere was tastefully decorated clean and felt like you were in a luxurious hotel staff were polite exceptionally attentive to our needs Our bathroom floor was very noisy when walking on it we understand it is an old property the room didn’t make noise like bathroom felt bad going to the toilet several times in the night saying this it was a huge bathroom very clean I’m sure you can’t do anything with the floor just one of those things

Great location and free parking. Large bedroom with newish en-suite which worked well. Due to the fact that the same weekend an event at the open air theatre ment the prices doubled. The hotel certainly adjusted their prices accordingly. Having said that so did every other place in Scarborough, so not alone.

The hotel was in a good position. The parking was good as well. The rooms were very warm due to the weather. The fan wasn't working properly. 2 days into our holiday we then noticed a room lower down using the fan that should have been in our room number. People talked about a lovely breakfast. Well to be honest with you, it wasn't that good. The first day the breakfast looked like it had stood for a while. Overdone. The second day was a lot better breakfast and the third day wasn't too bad. My wife had asked for a clean cup and the milk to be changed cuz black bits in the milk. The hotel could do with updating a little bit, especially the bedrooms.

Excellent service all round from the welcome email explaining everything we needed to know from check in time to availability of parking which was great as trying to find parking in Scarbados on a weekend in August is difficult/lovely friendly welcome on arrival /our room was huge nicely decorated and great view even if it was the street and immaculately clean with v comfy bed and location perfect breakfast was absolutely fantastic everything sourced locally and delicious and the staff again exceptional even though young - well trained -all in all absolutely wonderful stay - well recommended The noisy v loud music from the Crescent Bar/ Hotel across the road but once windows shut less of an issue - not the Palm Courts fault tho ......

Breakfast, staff, communal areas. The Lounge food menu had a reasonable choice within a limited range. There seemed a great leap from sandwiches to steak whereas some pasta or chilli type dishes would have been appropriate.

Location, general initial impression. Free parking., breakfast good value. No air con in room, uncomfortable hot. The bathroom needs an update. View from room overlooking untidy unkept flat roof space. The swimming pool is nolonger open.

Room lovely comfortable and clean. Breakfast was excellent food hot and freshly served dining room was spotless. Staff very friendly and helpful. Private free parking. Lift always working. Food in the restaurant in the evening a little disappointing compared to breakfast. The outside area wasn’t kept clean eg cigarette ends leaves bird poo.

Excellent location, food and service excellent also, very friendly staff, really enjoyed the served hot breakfast There were three mornings where the water was not up to temperature, on a couple of occasions one of us had a cold shower, although when we highlighted the problem, we were told they had no issues with the water Also one day the room was not cleaned, the toilet bin was not emptied, the dirty cups and glasses weren’t changed, and no cleaning had been done, there were still some dead flies on the carpet from the day before, all that was done was the tea and coffee topped up and the bed pulled over. The room was extremely hot and although we were given extra fans, the room temperature was still too hot, also the bathroom window didn’t open making it very uncomfortable

The location is great in the middle of the town easy spot the sea front and shops Breakfast was amazing great choice and quality plenty of it too very well served We were on the 4th floor at the back of the hotel the room was extremely hot there was a fan that didn’t work very well The windows were open n all we could smell was the kitchen and food cooked it was also very noisy we have stayed a few more times and rooms at the back are very noisy bins been emptied we had a really bad nights sleep We will not stay again unless we can have rooms at the front and a lower floor room

Very convenient for the shops restaurants and the sea front.. All the Staff were absolutely fabulous The room my husband and myself had was very clean and comfortable to sleep in …but was very small it was not so comfortable to just relax in
