Nothing.

I have no complaints. There are stairs - if a traveler has mobility concerns check for availability of ground floor lodgings.

Amazing hospitality and breakfast. We had a horrible situation with our rental and Baron helped us for hours translating and making sure all was ok. Very relaxing as well after touring

Akanthus is like a dream oasis. Every detail has been thought of. An enchanting pool, soothing background music, wonderful breakfast, afternoon coffee and cakes, and friendly staff and owner made the place feel like home. Would love to return! Nothing!

Stayed here for the second time. We love the facilities in the hotel, the room interior, the view (especially on sunsets) from the terrace, breakfasts. Thank you to all the hosts, the hospitality that you share made our stay very special.

It was modern but with Turkish charm. The owner was friendly and everyone was extremely helpful. Breakfast was plentiful every day- we were there for 4 nights. Nothing.

No issues. I was very satisfied with everything.

Very comfortable stay in perfect location.

Everything! The owner is an architect and his attention to detail was impeccable. The room was very comfortable and the bathroom had some of the nicest fixtures we've ever seen. But for us, there was just something magical about the courtyard. The ambiance was so soothing I could have just stayed there all day. The breakfasts were delicious and the employees were helpful and friendly. We would definitely stay here again. We liked absolutely everything. no complaints

The breakfast was excellent. We learned to value the typical Turkish breakfast with plenty of fresh vegetables, olives and cheeses. The hotel is tastefully renovated, with remarkable antique embroideries, and located very close to the site of the ancient Artemis temple. There is little to say, except perhaps that there was always soft music playing in the background of the dining area and open court. Unfortunately, it was almost always jazz. Only once did we hear some traditional Turkish music, and would have loved to have had this rather than the boring jazz piano.

If you enjoy smaller boutique hotels, this is truly a standout choice. It was easily our favorite stay during a 3½-week trip through Greece and Türkiye. Everything about the experience felt exceptional—from the warm, attentive hosts and staff to the beautifully maintained property. Our room was very comfortable (the bed alone deserves special mention), and we looked forward to each morning’s breakfast. The level of hospitality made us feel genuinely welcomed and cared for throughout our stay. It’s rare to find a place where every detail is done so well. I would be genuinely surprised if anyone left disappointed. We did experience some issues with the internet speed, mainly when uploading and working with the many photos I was taking. The staff were responsive and helped, but the connection remained a bit slow when I working on my photos. At times, I ended up tethering my laptop to my own mobile data (I was already paying for international roaming), and that worked just fine.

The extreme kindness of the staff made this hotel stand out. From start to finish they were helpful, kind, and friendly and helped me with every question or need. The location is perfect--very close to the minibuses going to Ephesus, and also close to shops, restaurants, banks, and even within walking distance to a hospital, which I ended up needing to use. The decor and ambiance are old world, and the attention to detail shines through. It's a pleasure to sit in their breakfast room, courtyard, or by the pool--an oasis! Breakfast was a Turkish delight, with plenty to see you through til the afternoon. Beds were super comfortable. Thoroughly enjoyed my time there, and talking with the owners/managers was a cherry on top!
