Nice room and a big bonus having the swimming pool and sauna.. I was a bit peeved at having to pay the full price for 2 when I gave the required notice that it would only be me.

Central location, free parking Looking a bit tired now in need of modernisation

Location was excellent. Great sized room and very comfortable beds. Lovely shower. Pool was excellent and the breakfast was superb both mornings. Nothing

Good location, plenty of parking. Nice big room with comfortable bed. Staff were very pleasant and very helpful - especially Donna in Housekeeping. Given the heat at the time of our stay, air-conditioning would have been ideal although a fan was provided and appreciated.

the receptionist and other staff were lovely. We had particularly come to this hotel for its spa only to find it was being repaired and they were superb in extending all they could to make recompense. We loved our room and the location, an easy and pleasant walkable distance from the town and the historic Gold Hill. Beautiful countryside and an old monks home. Chatted to so many pleasant locals. Loved that monks resided there. Thank you. The pool / spa was undergoing annual maintenance but otherwise everything really was lovely. Thank you. Delightful healthy breakfast, all was good. Thank you for your vibes old monks!

Good location and nice grounds. We didn’t have breakfast but my friends said it was good. The bathroom looked very sad. The grouting around the floor and shower tiles needed a scrub. We booked for 2 but there was only one bath towel. Good quality towel though. The hairdryer packed in half way through use but a replacement was found reasonably quickly

Comfortable and had character. Swimming pool a bonus though open to the public so we picked our time to use it. Breakfast was good. Seemed to be low staff numbers covering reception, bar, restaurant etc. They were friendly and helpful though! We ate dinner there but it wasn't that great.

Breakfast choice was very good. Loved the pancakes, but got 3 on first day, but only 2 on second. It was made up for by a extra slice of bacon on second day, so did not complain. At the height of the heat wave we still had a heavy tog duvet. Which we removed from the cover, which we then used.

Good room on the first floor, a decent breakfast and the staff were just lovely The ground floor rooms in the annex are grotty. The pool was tired and very 1980s
