Breakfasts were very good, with a wide selection, and the options were different each time. The room was clean and comfortable. It was a little small, but that is quite normal for hotels in Asia.

Great room, very clean and housekeeping was on point every day. Buffet breakfast was good with lots of options. Hotel was in an amazing location.

Everything about this place was perfect for us. Impeccable cleanliness, comfort, smells good, huge pool with sauna and steam. We had a neighbor upstairs with a young child, who was running back and forth. I asked them to help and they notified the tenant directly. The situation improved. Our belongings were left in the room safely, up to 6 bottles of water refilled daily, and high quality shower with Japanese style toilet. Excellent location in French concession as well. I don’t like the robot that goes up and down the elevators. It sometimes feels a little creepy.

- Amazing location in one of the coolest streets of the city - Huge amount of fancy bars and restaurants around in an upscale multicultural neighborhood - Big swimming pool with very good facilities - Decently sized room for the price and location - Newly renovated and furnished hotel, you can feel everything is brand new and well maintained - The fact that the room was facing a back alley where a Thai restaurant is located meant we couldn't open the window at all because the smell of food would just get inside the bedroom - No way to turn the temperature down, the room was extremely hot and when we complained about it we were given a portable fan - The hallway music was extremely loud and annoying, you could hear it inside the room in the morning. The elevator ding every time someone used it just added to this annoyance. Will try to get a room as far away from the elevator as possible next time.

Location, staff, new and clean AC is not able to adjust down, was told 21 degree Celsius is the lowest to go. Room seems too warm at night and had to open the window to cool down. Also no lotion to offer at front desk

The location, on Donghu Lu, is a very walkable part of the former French Concession. Don't miss the park, just around the corner, where singles and couples ballroom dance in the evenings. Great selection of restaurants, of all cuisines within walking distance, while its proximity to main subway lines makes getting around Shanghai super easy. Our room was clean, comfortable and my wife insists that I mention the awesome toilet! There was nothing that we didn't like, however we didn't have breakfast at the hotel nor did we use any of the facilities. The lobby is a little unassuming and could be more inviting, however the staff were very efficient at check-in and were very used to using Google Translate to overcome the language barrier.

The location. The pool was very clean. This is a strange luxury hotel. First: my room. I booked a Superior King size. I got a room with barely space to walk around the bed, a small window, it was gloomy and small. As the Collection has a small lobby, this meant I had no space to work in the room or anywhere in the hotel. The pictures are very deceiving. (See comparison below) Second: I paid for breakfast. The pastries were stale. The Chinese food was good. But it was not managed well - between guests, the tables were not cleaned. One staff member was even smoking the e-cigarette during service. Like…????. Third: the gym. Nice facility. But I visited in Nov: thw AC was off, and after a few minutes of 3-5 people in the room, it gets HOT. Fourth: no hooks or space to hang anything in the bathroom. Where should I put my towels? Also in the bathroom, the shower had no lighting over it, and the glasses were darkened. It was very gloomy. For 1K / day, it was very, very disappointing.

The location and the area is quieter and interesting shops and good cafes around. The room was comfortable and it wasn;t freezing at night during our Dec trip. Near to the train station. perhaps an iron and iron board and the drawers cabinet for clothes. toiletries wasn't included
