Location is great for proximity to subway and the neighborhood which has shops and restaurants. Hotel is definitely ready for renovation. Light cigarette smoke smell in rooms. One room smelled strongly of stinky food but we were able to switch that room. Shower curtain smelled mildewy.

It was old but clean I really didn’t like how the staff communicate and treat us, they weren’t helpful and friendly at all, they barely spoke English, we needed some help to get disneyland park tickets but unfortunately they didn’t help

Location of hotel is very good and next Line 2 which is good for all tourist location Room with carpet smell badly need improvement seriously

Room size reasonable. Beds comfortable. Good spread for breakfast. Location convenient to walk to Jing Ann Temple area, Wukang Road, Wujiang Road area. Train station just next to hotel. There's also a Lawson convenience store next door. Taobao delivery was also delivered to the room. Happy with the service. Nothing to complain but may try another area if I were to visit Shanghai again.

Located in the heart of the city. Cleanliness and staff friendliness. View from the windows. Breakfast spread. Hotel facilities.

We enjoyed our stay at this hotel. The room was very comfortable and spacious. We like the provision of a desk to allow us to easily use our computer and other equipment. The bathroom was clean and it had an excellent shower. The combined toilet-bidet with heated seat was fun! The breakfast offerings were extensive, with an excellent range of Chinese and Western courses and the atrium setting was lovely. We also enjoyed a meal in the restaurant. The hotel is very close to a metro on one of the main central lines which made moving around the city quite easy. The staff were helpful, however sometimes their lack of fluency with English made it difficult for us to communicate clearly what we wanted and for them to respond. However, we always got a satisfactory result. We appreciated their assistance with booking a taxi for our trip to the airport on our final morning. No complaints!

Toilet too old

Location is good , some staffs are nice I requested to have high floor when i booked the hotel . They do not give me . Disappointed

the room is big enough and clean. the location is great closed to convinience store and train station. Some guests are smoking in their rooms, causing the smell of cigarettes to linger in the hallways and potentially seep into other rooms.

The check in was reasonable. I loved the big windows and view from the bedroom. Comfortable furniture. WiFi pretty good. Location was excellent. The jacuzzi water was either way too hot and freezing cold, why not a moderate temperature?

This hotel's location is excellent. One of the subway entrances is right next to it and really easy to get to places. Hotel also offers good breakfast with lot of choices. The room I booked is nice and spacious (Grand Deluxe Twin). AC in the room is not working. The thermometer doesn't respond at all. Even though I adjusted the temperature to 14C (59F), it blasted warm air in full force, which made the room hot and stuffy.

The beds are heavenly, best sleep I had in a long time. They even upgraded me for a deluxe room on the 37th floor with exceptional views over the city. I really enjoyed my stay there, breakfast is ample and the location is great, just a short walk from the french concession with many nice walking streets and boutiques. I think smoking rooms and non-smoking rooms are mixed on the floor, so the floor of my first room smelled like smoke, and also my room a little bit. So I went down to the reception to tell them. They were very friendly and immediately showed me two or three more rooms that I could freely choose from on a higher level. The rooms are a little dated, you can see that this hotel is past its prime. Also the reception looked a bit messy, you can tell there is a lack of management, definitely not 5 Stars. The carpets and rooms look actually better on the upper deluxe floors. I would just ask for an upgrade ;)

still chasing them over deposit

The air conditioner didn’t work on adjusting the room temperatures. The first night to room temperature was really low and cold and I got sick. The Hitel sent a repair man fixing the air conditioner promptly after we contacting them. Check and to know their broken facilities to avoid the similar thing happening.

Staff were attentive. I was given a room which had aircon malfunction. Called the front desk and was told aircon was central and thought it was normal. Endured for 4 nights and finally could not take it anymore and requested for change in room. Remediation was speedy - the bellhop knocked on my door within 10 mins with a key card to another room. Superb response.
