The whole concept. Small room, bad ergo

The smell of the room was really bad, even my colleagues experienced the same. Too pricey for the space.

Great location, great amenities, good room size, helpful staff.

Clean and modern hotel, nice bar area and close to the metro station It was troublesome for the staff to find my reservation from booking.com - probably some information and connectivity issues between the app and the hotel

Bed was very comfy, nice shower. Very good breakfast in de morning, with everything you need. Didn't find actual closet space

When we arrived they wouldn’t honour the price giving by booking.com and tried to bargain with us to force us to pay for breakfast using a calculator to communicate. I speak great Chinese - this wasn’t a language barrier; just they’re obviously trying to hustle. Annoying.
-
Great location close to 静安寺, with a subway line right next to the hotel. Comfortable bed and decent breakfast options. A little bit of noise from the AC when on during the night.

We have stayed at this hotel a few times since our regular shanghai hotel closed. We always arrive in Shanghai late on a Friday night as we don’t finish work until 5. We arrive usually around 11pm at night. This has never been a problem before. This time we got several phone calls asking what time we were going to arrive. We told them and proceeded to get several more phone calls. We got a surprising message stating that if we didn’t arrive within the next 30mins our booking was going to be cancelled. We arrived and checked in and were given a room smaller than the one we booked which also meant we had paid more as the larger room naturally costs more. We were told we’d be moved to the correct room the next day but staying only two nights makes moving rooms on the second night rather pointless. Especially when we paid for this larger room over a month in advance of our stay. We were not offered any form of refund at the hotel. I believe this problem occurred because of booking.com’s 6pm rule. We could have cancelled this booking up to 6pm on the day of our arrival but the staff seemed to take this as we had to be at the hotel by 6 when this was not the case. I understand that miscommunications happen but when using a website that is in English it is important that someone at the hotel understands exactly what the rules are and does not communicate wrong information to guests. I was coming into Shanghai for a hospital appointment and this situation just made the trip that much more stressful. Running down the streets of shanghai at 10:30pm terrified that our hotel was going to be cancelled. We’re lucky that we’ve lived in China long enough that we knew chinese and where the hotel was to get there quick enough but what if we had been a new arrival to China with no understanding of chinese or where the hotel was. That would not have been a welcome arrival to the country.

Bed was comfortable, check in was easy and it was a good stay. The room was like a little box, I felt a little trapped.

Modern design and great location close to the Jingan Temple. The room was cozy and the was bed very comfortable. Shower facilities were very nice as well. Staff was friendly and also assisted us to store our luggage until the evening.

Breakfast was very good and location is pretty good too. 20 minutes walk from the metro station. Rooms are so tiny. I was surprised when I opened the door. And the windows open in another guest room.

The room is lovely and tidy . Especially the bed is very comfortable. Cleaning lady was very friendly. Also reception staffs . Location is okay . 15mins to the MRT station . Reception staff got a little bit difficult communication problem. As they were nice to offer me the better price by booking with them than via booking .com , but I got the cancelled fee on original booking website without any notice. Poor guest privacy. Noise in the late night as drunk ppl talking n kid ran around on the hall outside of room .
