Conveniently located n the Futian district, not far from public transport. Hotel was clean and welcoming, though odd placement using one door to cover either the toilet room or the shower. Rooms were spacious and had a kettle and fridge. There are food options within brief walks from the hotel. Breakfast was not memorable.

The bathroom is a joke. You don’t have any privacy, it has a glass door, transparent, and is not even a full door, so, any smells or noises are unfiltred in the room.

friendly and helpful staff despite language barrier, well thought out rooms and nice decor. Close to the No. 1 line and many buses, including a stop for the tourist bus route. only 1 room was available at check-in around 13:30, other rooms had to wait until after 4pm. One room was full of cigarette smoke and the windows had to be open all day/night. other rooms smell of smoke too

This room seemed smaller than what I'd had previously. Was ok but limited space to fully unpack suitcase and keep things in drawers which I like to do. And bathroom is tiny. Works ok for one; I wouldn't want to stay in that room with two even though they call it a "double" room.

Good location, the hotel is located close to a metro station and a few blocks from the main electronic market in Shenzhen. The staff, including the front desk, were lacking a basic command of English.

We loved everything about the property. It felt very luxurious and comfortable. The staff were so attentive to detail and cleanliness was excellent. Bottled water, fresh robes and slippers were very welcoming. We would love to stay again!

The location is very convenient. The MTR green Line 1 Huaqiang Station Exit B1 is a two minutes walk away. There is a beautiful huge park around the corner across the road which is great for early morning or evening strolls watching the residents gather to play musical instruments, sing, practice martial arts, etc. Behind the hotel is the Century Plaza shopping mall with lots of shops, restaurants and a large variety of individual small food eateries to choose among. Commuting by MTR to places of interest was easy. My room on the ninth floor was extremely comfortable with a great view of the main street and ongoings. Housekeeping was excellent replacing towels, replenishing coffee and water each morning. The Front Desk staff though limited in English were always on duty, available and attentive to answering questions I had using my iPhone translator app. My room reservation did not include breakfast but I was able to pay 68 rmb at the breakfast area entrance for a very nice variety of dishes. I thoroughly enjoyed my four days stay at the Shenzhen Shanghai Hotel. There is nothing I did not like.
