Liked the view from the room It is not a hotel, it is a homestay so it was misleading while booking. Also we were the only one staying and it was a bit scary from the safety point of view l.

Wonderful views from each window. Lovely rooms, every part of the hotel was very clean and well maintained. Very, very helpful and friendly staff. Excellent food on offer. Thanks for looking after us so well.

seclude is a gorgeous historic house in a quiet part of Shimla. It’s two floors with rooms on both levels. The rooms are decorated sympathetically to the era of the house. We had dinner at the house and it was very tasty. We stayed in Jan when it was 3C at night. The rooms were really cold, with gaps in the doors. The staff were lovely and gave us heaters but they were not adequate and barely heated the room. We ended up leaving after the first night (two nights early) as my elderly father could not manage the cold. I’m sure this would be a lovely place to stay in the summer, but needs much better insulation.

The Nebula room was fantastic. Spacious, beautifully decorated, with a big bathroom and all the amenities you need. The decor is stylish, positive and beautiful. Only issue was the door which felt very weak - there wasn't a proper lock from the inside. Service was exceptionally outstanding! Deepak, Govind and the entire team went above and beyond to make our stay special. They're incredibly attentive, warm, and helpful - truly the heart and soul of this property. From what I understand about Shimla's geography, Seclude has one of the best, if not THE best location in Shimla. It's situated in Chotta Shimla which is quiet and peaceful. The valley views are absolutely amazing. Why I couldn't give 5 stars is really important for anyone booking. There are NO proper hotel rules or reception here, which caused us serious issues. The first night was terrible - some drunk guests were partying in the garden, playing music and talking loudly until 2 AM. We couldn't even use the garden as we felt uncomfortable going there while they were drinking. We were basically trapped in our room. I couldn't confront them as I was with my partner and they were drunk, which made us really anxious. The second night, a family on first floor played loud music and their kids were running and jumping. Because it's an old wooden hotel, you hear EVERYTHING. We had an early morning flight so had to complain to Deepak, and while they eventually turned down the volume, it took time. These are serious issues, especially for couples staying alone. When there are big groups partying, you have no leverage and end up confined to your room like we were. Despite the amazing location, great room and outstanding service, the lack of proper rules and security for guests is a major concern.

Beautiful building in a lovely location. Away from Shimla itself but only a 15 minute ride away. The gardens are beautiful and kept well by the smiley gardener. The food is exceptional. Staff couldn’t do more to help. Our room was super comfortable.

Cleanliness and comfort Dinner- options are too less... No facility to reheat food for late night dinner.. They must work on the menu and offer more options. Their property- Taradale Ramgarh is superb but this one is average

The room was different from how it looked in the pictures on booking.com, however the staff were very friendly and provided all support.

We spent 4 lovely days at Seclude Shimla Taraview. Deepak, Ayaj, Govind, and Anit provided excellent service — food was delicious and fresh (best we had had so far), they cleaned our room once during our stay and took care of a load of laundry for us. The property is a bit secluded, but it’s definitely the right place to rest and enjoy nature and a very well kept garden after exploring Shimla and its surroundings. For cold nights, they have heated blankets and an electrical heater, which was perfect as we started to get a cold (and hot water is working). Would definitely come back or explore Seclude‘s other accommodations across India! Nothing to complain about!

Location is perfect, just 3 KM from Mall road. Staff is also down to earth, room are neat and tidy. A paining in the room, which was looking haunted. Glass slides were lying in the slide box next to TV, so i the question arises whats there in those microscopic slides.

The overall of the property was very good but I have to specially thank the team (kitchen and hospitality): Deepak Singh, Chef Ravi, Govind, Anit. Thanks for the nice stay !and the nice surprise for dinner.

Must visit and stay property if you are going to the hills for the hills and the nature and not the hustle and bustle of just another city. Nothing. It's prefect.
