The APA Hotel Shizuoka-eki Kita is a wonderful place to stay while visiting Shizuoka! I was so impressed by the functionality of the room and the attention to detail: many electrical outlets (several charging ports by the bed), suitcase storage under the bed, the ability to dim the lights and control from bed, two types of pillows, a large, comfortable bed, a wall unit TV with information and BBC (appreciated!), a large desk with pullout drawer, which can double as a coffee table…and more. Everything is so incredibly thoughtful done! I liked everything about my stay!! Wonderful welcoming staff, luggage storage and even a welcome drink. I also enjoyed the traditional breakfast.

I had a pleasant 2-night stay at this hotel. Overall, it’s a lovely place with excellent service, a satisfying breakfast, and well-maintained facilities. The staff were consistently courteous and professional, which made the experience all the more enjoyable. The only downside was the absence of complimentary beauty samples. Thankfully, I had brought my own, but it might be inconvenient for guests who don't. Other than that, everything was great.

Convenient location. Large TV screen! Washroom was a bit musty as well as the sheets being damp (room might have been unoccupied for a few days) but sheets dampness changed when they were changed. Parking was confusing at first as you have to park nearby at garage 8 and they given you discount chits. Had to learn this.

The location of the hotel is excellent, very close to the Shizuoka train station, as well as the main attractions in the city. The hotel also has laundry facilities which work well! The room we booked was quite small, not leaving much space to open suitcases. Also I don't like when the beds are place against a wall, leaving only one way to exit the bed.

APA hotels always meet my expectations. Clean, efficient, affordable. Simple yet elegant. Like: convenient location, this APA hotel is near Shizuoka station. There are also multiple restaurants in the area. And the staff are amazing. Dislike: what is there to dislike with APA hotels?
