Holiday Inn Express & Suites Shreveport South Park Plaza by IHG

The room was very clean and the bed was very comfortable. The staff was friendly and check in was done quickly. A nice hot breakfast was available and the breakfast staff was friendly. We were there for a family member that was a patient at Christus Medical Center and the motel is very close to the hospital. Many restaurants are close by. I would recommend to family and friends.

Hotel was under renovation. My room had water damage in the ceiling. Refrigerator was old and freezer looked molded. Staff was very pleasant and helpful. I wouldn't return.

Everyone was very friendly. Very clean very well kept.

Clean

I travel frequently and this was one of the most outdated hotels anywhere. Carpets stained/torn, showers and sinks rusted, and the most awful smell in the 3 separate rooms in our group. I woke up with a massive headache at 3 am from whatever chemical they used to mask bad odors. There is no way this hotel deserves 8.6 on reviews. Just book elsewhere!

Didn’t have hot water, pool was dirty with sonic wrappers cups and paper plates leaves, had to clean the pool myself as a guest in order to swim, manager wasn’t communicating well I booked a late checkout online out was told later that the hotel didn’t do late checkout out until the day u had to check out therefore the manager was rude and was threatening to call the police on me because of a mistake on there end, breakfast was sparse wasn’t a lot of options was only able to eat egg and pancakes, all in all I won’t book again

I did not like to be questioned about my dog by front desk person. She asked if my animal was a service dog which I replied , "no." Then she asked me again and I repeated, "no."

Love the breakfast!

Everything was good, just as we expected . We would certainly stay there again.

Robin was so helpful in the breakfast area. Fitness center - had two treadmills but neither could use incline and one could not adjust speed manually.

Very clean rooms and friendly staff

Close to every thing & easy access on and off the interstate! Clean! I would suggest umbrellas for by the pool bc it’s 0 shade and my infant got hot fast in the broad open sun, so my older two didn’t get to swim for long periods of time because we would have to go back in.

One elevator and it was shared by cleaning staff and guests, also very slow. Keyed rooms doors did not work well and had to have my keys redone both days of our stay. The staff were kind and helped each time.

The breakfast well well attended to and well stocked despite a full house. The staff took great care to keep the dining area clean, the food plentiful.

The hotel was clean and well appointed. Soundproofing of the room was excellent. The front desk staff was uniformly kind and attentive. They went out of their way to help me get a safe refrigerator to put some expensive injectable medication in overnight.

The staff was warm and friendly, and bent over backwards to make our stay comfortable.

Located in an excellent area, business offices nearby, the outside of the building was nicely landscaped, appearing to hold a promise for a great stay. However, once inside, it quickly disappoints. The hallways had dehumidifiers, along with scent diffusers. Once in the room, I fully understood: musty odor, old stained carpet, the entire building needs a thorough deep cleaning inside & out. Stay if you must, we try 2 different rooms they both smelt bad.
