BG Hotel

Room was nice, comfortable with good bathroom facilities. Included breakfast was good. Location was not in the downtown area. It’s practically located inside a general/teaching hospital. Remedying factor is it’s location next to a major bus stop.

Excellent stay in Sofia! The hotel was very clean, modern, and comfortable, with a great location close to the city center. The staff were friendly and professional, and the breakfast was good with plenty of options. I would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Sofia.

The hotel is quite comfortable, with a very good mattrass. Breakfast is surprisingly extensive, with may different options. Even though the quality of the food is not excessively high, you can have a very good breakfast that will last you through the day. Although the hotel itself is quite out of the centre, and not in a very interesting area, the subway station is close by, and Vitosha boulevard only two subway stations away. Transport to and from the airport is easy by subway. Overall very good value The surroundings are not the best; slap bang in the middle of a couple of hospitals. To get to the hotel you have to slalom around the back of a hospital and around ambulances, which does not make for a very interesting atmosphere. However, as stated above, the city centre is only two metro stations away, so this is not real problem. The price is attractive and reflects the environment, I suppose

The room and bathroom were spotlessly clean and the breakfast had enough options and decent coffee.

The room was fine. Comfortable for sleeping. The first room we were given had windows that opened to the street, and people smoked just outside the windows. I had specifically requested a non-smoking room. When I asked to change, the receptionist acted as if my request was outrageous. (The windows had to remain open, because the heat was on automatically and it was stifling!) Also, the hotel is a bit far from everything. I had no idea about the transportation when booking.

I didn't like the breakfast buffet. It is not well set up, the coffee machines have some handwritten papers stuck on them, the table with an old carton teabox, milk here and there and a bowl with musli in between, the kitchen fridges are out in the dining area, cooks come and go to take or drop off something. Overall not well set up. The cooling area with the food is unsuitable for buffet to open a window and extend your arm to pick up some vegetable from behind the first row.

The staff was very kind and helpful. The whole bathroom floor tends to get wet when you shower. There should be a divider between the toilet bowl and the shower.

The food. It's one of the reasons we decided to come back with my wife and probably would come again. Neither me or my wife found something we did not like.

The location isn’t very convenient. If I had known earlier, I would have chosen a better place closer to my hometown. All in all it is fine.. But L

It is not very far from center and breakfast was good. This hotel is located between 4 hospitals so the energy and vibe in it is horrible. You are surrounded by sick people and docs. The staff is NOT friendly at all. Do not reserve the car to the airport from the hotel it’s 2 times more expensive then just getting a taxi. Even in the areas that are none smoking there are still people smoking you can smell it in the hallways. The only time it would make sense to stay there is if your getting a procedure done in a hospital or want your relatives to be close by when your in the hospital.

Location and Breakfast is good. Tho sausages were stale i guess, my stomach got bad few hours after eating. So much noise coming from other rooms’ plumbing systems and refrigerator.
