Sokcho Hotel Haedeun

The hotel has all the amenities you need for a comfortable stay. The breakfast is fairly basic but good, the rooms are clean and comfortable, and there is even a steam machine available for your clothes. The location is one of the hotel's biggest strengths. There are several good local restaurants nearby, and a 24/7 convenience store just around the corner, making it easy to buy lunch, drinks, or snacks before heading to Seoraksan National Park. The bus stop to the park is only a five-minute walk from the hotel. The hotel is also conveniently located between the city's main attractions, making it easy to explore both sides of Sokcho. Within a 10 min walk, you can reach Cheongchoho Lake Park and the nearby sports park, both of which are perfect for an evening walk or a run.

the location is very good include free parking. a lot of privacy and close to many restaurants. the kitchen could be a bit more accessorized and the breakfast was not good (only Korean food and not western).

in general nice and clean you have to pay 50.000 extra for the jacuzzi and it doesn't even work properly !

- The hotel is conveniently located, just a 15-minute walk from the main street; - Covered parking is a great plus, especially in warm weather. - English-speaking staff was limited, though we were lucky to have a friend who spoke Korean; - The room could use a deeper cleaning; there was dust in the emergency lamp that seemed to have been there for a while; - The lobby and breakfast area are quite small, with limited or no tables and chairs.

I loved the double bath tub! It was so relaxing after a day of walking around and exploring Sokcho.

Great location with great views of Cheongchoho Lake. Friendly staff. Clean and well cared for facilities. Balcony was enclosed but not air conditioned. It was far too hot to use this area at all during our stay. I’m sure the hot tub on the balcony would be amazing to use during colder weather, but not in July.

Free daily water bottle. I originally booked this based I. Reviews saying it was clean. There is black mold in ALL three wall AC, dusty, bathrooms smelled like urine and sewer the entire stay. No room service other than leaving new half size towels and bottled water outside our door. Upstairs was extremely hot, balcony Terrance was additional fee to use and the door did not office any shade so sun light was coming through. Lots of wall damages, the bathtub was really dirty with lint and hair floating. Does not include more than two regular size towels, no closet or drawers to put clothing away. The kitchen only comes with one old pot and everything sticks to it. Breakfast is limited and you must bring the ramen noodle or toast back to your room to eat. The floor was so dirty, my feet turn black. Carpet was really dirty as well. Breakfast is from 0800-0930. This is non smoking but guest smokes right outside lobby and the workers do smoke comes back into the hotel.

The hot tubs are advertised like they are for public use but they are only attached to private rooms. The hot tub was the reason I booked this hotel and I did not get to use it.

In general the hotel is great - new, spacious room, comfortable. Great snack bar for the guest in the morning. There was a 7 eleven store, great bakery, nice restaurants next door to the hotel. Not noisy at all. Really enjoyed the stay. Our room was not cleaned even once! The cleaning lady left clean towels and amenities in the bag near our door but never cleaned our room although we had a special sign at the door. Also when we moved in into the room there were some chips or crumbs on the floor. Other than that no negative experience.
