The location was lovely and the food was very good

Good location for our overnight stay before travelling on for our holiday. Atmosphere was great , entertainment and friendly people and staff. Just no hot water for a shower but that was a one off as the boiler broke.

The garden area I was so disappointed after driving over an hour to get here we had NO hot water explains twice to the team, they kept saying 20 minutes and will be back on … ended up not being able to shower or bath before dinner or bed. We specifically chose the room with a bath and couldn’t even use it even paid more for the deluxe room!!! Then in the morning still NO hot water had to had a COLD wash, and then drove over an hour home without a shower or bath absolutely awful would not recommend or stay again

The staff were really welcoming and friendly. I had a lovely spacious room with a modern bathroom. Also, everything I needed in terms of bottled water, tea refills everday... Excellent value for money. Breakfast was lovely too. Nothing.

Excellent value for money. Lovely location. Spacious accommodation. Plenty of seating both inside and outside. Our bedroom was a brilliant size and well decorated. Staff were very friendly and welcoming. Only downside was on a sunny hot day it was really hot in our room. With only a small fan and no air conditioning to keep it cool it made sleeping uncomfortable. However, it was exceptional climate conditions and would not normally be an issue.

The meal was nice The room was not what we expected after booking a premium room, 2 windows in the room, one with a broken blind so permanent down and the other window broken so couldn’t be opened. Bathroom very dark, recommend taking a torch in with you especially if you need to find anything. Shower was hanging off the wall but I managed to fix that. No spare toilet roll, no handwash, I’m assuming this was due to the staff not being able to see! Overall not a good experience and not what we expected after eating at the restaurant numerous times. We will definitely be finding somewhere else to stay when in the area.

Everything was good The lighting in the bathroom was too dark making it difficult to shower. Maybe they need to look at air-conditioning going forward

Handy for the canal, clean and comfortable

Stylish venue , generous sized rooms, comfortable bed , well equipped ( except that my table lamp didn’t work and there wasn’t a fan ( and it was hot hot hot!!) The big issue is that we didn’t feel valued as hotel guests , it was more of a pub focused venue…. We didn’t book directly either and so didn’t qualify for breakfast in the price , lesson learnt but ok fair enough maybe? BUT the paid for prices for breakfast were very inflated and we even had to pay for a cup of coffee in the breakfast area which felt outrageous! If we had known this before , we would have made our own coffees in our rooms which had kettles, tea & coffee etc and brought them downstairs to the breakfast room ! I did explain that we felt ripped off to the venue but they just smiled ! Also , our rooms overlooked the car park which was quite noisy with late goodbyes from pub clients and the car park lights were left on all night which shone into our rooms

Very neat and tidy - excellent staff , very welcoming. Breakfast and meals were top notch, Probably one of the best stays away we have had . Would not hesitate to rebook this place again . There obviously is pub noise that you can hear in your room if you have a early night , but this did not spoil our stay at all

Lovely location. Room was modern, clean and comfortable. Nice dinner. Breakfast was diappointing. Expensive for an average fry-up and I was astounded to have to pay extra for coffee. Cost of breakfast should include hot drink and choice of fruit juice (not offered). Also , service was slow. Rather diminished the overall experience.

It was really good. The room had everything we needed. We had drinks out on the patio when we arrived, great music in the background. We dined in the restaurant, great menu choices, great food and great service. Also excellent breakfast. Would definitely recommend.

A lovely random find on booking.com Lovely hotel and restaurant All front of house staff were excellent, having the right balance between being very professional yet friendly. The kitchen and waiting staff worked really well as a team. Service was seamless. The food was delicious. I had a lovely, well laid out room with hpt and cold drinks and biscuits. My room (11) was very warm overnight. Luckily, there was a fan provided, which I needed to keep on all night. This room is apparently quite a warm one, not helped by the warmer than usual weather at the moment. Perhaps an aircon unit for this room may be worth investing in.
