Hotel Il Faro

Terrible stay. Rude staff. They don’t even acknowledge or put there head up the greet you. Room was always warm despite the ac at full blast. We could have tolerated the hotel but the ac and staff felt like we were annoyed when asked questions. Except for one at the front desk. Make eye contact with guests. It’s not an unreasonable request. If we could’ve gotten a refund and moved on, we would’ve. I would’ve paid twice the price after that. See above. The only thing that stands out positive is the man at the desk that patiently helped me with the bus schedule as well as the pool.

They give us a room without a window and when we asked to change they did you book Standerd room , I don’t know the meaning of this since when standard room has no window, breakfast was poor room was dusty

The rooftop bar and pool were wonderful. The view and service are exceptional. The restaurant affiliated with the hotel had fantastic food. Wait staff were very friendly, especially for how hot it was. We were happy to get CNN news on the TV. The breakfast was good and the staff was very friendly. I really wanted a pool and a view and this property was perfect for the price. The mattress was a bit firm. I used the wool blanket as a padding, and it was better. The lobby staff were not cordial upon arrival or through passing.

I couldn’t get a box of kleenex in my room and the room and especially the washroom was small.

Location was amazing. Very clean and helpful and professional staff. Breakfast was excellent. Cappuccino made to order! Rooftop pool was lovely. Easy shuttle service takes you to centre of town in minutes. You can walk to down however uphill. Walking back to hotel is easier. Nothing

Great location if you are taking ferry’s to the Amalfi coast! Near the center also. It was very clean and a lovely view of the water.

The location was amazing! Walking distance right into town and the coast/port. The ferry access was only a 2 min walk! The room was huge with comfortable beds and a huge window with a great view of the water. The whole area was safe with shops and restaurants nearby!

Nothing!! I would stay here again! It's in a great location and worth every penny.

It was close to the port and the beaches but far walk from the city center Too many steps up to the city center, the beds were hard as rocks, the bathroom smelled like pee and humidity.

Great location on the port especially when you arrive by ferry like we did. Nice breakfast and a wonderful view from the room. The rooftop pool is excellent. The place feels really modern. A really nice place to stay in Sorrento Nothing comes to mind

What I didn’t like was the room. It was very small, outdated, and not as clean as expected, with noticeable dust. The drinks at the rooftop bar were also expensive. In addition, the hotel does not have on-site parking, so our car had to be taken by a valet to a parking facility.

Right at the harbor for beautiful views. Easy access to ferries to Capri and Amalfi coast. Lovely facilities and staff. Breakfasts were great. Short walk via lift to train station to Pompei It’s a steep journey from the town but there is a lift available. Didn’t know where it was on arrival so had to pay for a taxi down Restaurant has excellent food but not very accommodating for requests as simple as replacing shrimp with veggies.

If you are taking day trips out of Sorrento this is an excellent location! We loved how close it was to the ferry. The breakfast was great and included in our room cost. The room was small and clean, not luxurious. That was okay with us because we were barely in the room. We loved the roof top bar. We watched the sunset and ordered food and drinks both nights. It was a great way to end the day! There are some steps right behind the hotel that take you right up to the main square and bustling town of Sorrento.

Very close to the ferry. The breakfast was very good. There was no refrigerator in the room.

Conveniently located right at the ferry port. It’s a short bus ride up the hill to the Sorrento Piazza’s with busses leaving frequently. Great breakfast and rooftop bar. Very friendly staff. We enjoyed our 3 nights at this location.
