Blackjack Inn South Lake Tahoe

The biggest highlight for our stay was the location!! It can't be beat. We were within walking distance to the beach, all the shops, restaurants, and casinos. We never had difficulties finding parking, and the town was packed. Extra bonus was the fridge and microwave in the room, and the spacious shower with great water pressure. The only downside was the mattress was a little funky and moved a lot when someone would roll over. For the price, it was more than worth it.

Great little hotel in a great location. We really enjoyed our stay here. The room was clean and modern. The bed was comfortable, comparable to the best Western we had stayed in the previous night. The usb ports actually worked ❤️. It was really quiet despite being pretty much in front of Heavenly village. There's a convenience store next door too which helped a lot. Again we really enjoyed our stay and are looking forward to coming back.

The bathroom was not clean 100%

The motel is in an ideal location. It’s super clean. The only thing keeping my review from 5 stars is the bed. It was uncomfortable, making a good night sleep almost impossible.

somewhat pricey for a small room, but adequate for our needs

The motel has a cute retro vibe, but it is totally updated inside. The shower is lovely, and the bathroom sink is very chic. One of the reasons I chose it was because it has AC, and since it was in the high 80's when we were there, I thought we would need it. It's an under-window AC/heater, and it seemed loud the first night. It didn't bother me the second night, and we did appreciate the cool air! It was only a 2 minute walk to dinner each night and a 3 minute walk to breakfast (various restaurants in the Heavenly Village shops). One morning before breakfast, we walked down to lake level and back up a different street to the motel--a lovely way to start the day. This motel does not have a pass for the Lakeside Beach, but since Nevada Beach is my favorite beach in the world, I did not mind driving over there to swim. :)

I gave the "staff" a 1 star due to the cleaning lady barging in our room 2 seconds after she knocked... at 1015am when the check out is at 11. She just smiled like she didn't give a f*k and gave a very fake sorry. I asked her what time check out was and she knew it was 11 yet she had the brain capacity to still try to barge in 45min before the time. We were in our underwear and it really freaked out my gf. The front desk girl was *extremely* nice and polite. She said she would talk to them and she gave us a late checkout because of it. Will definitely stay here again based on the front desk person and how clean everything was. Their cleaning people just have the smarts of a door knob.
