location was very good would have been nice to have an iron (there was ironing board but no iron) and also there was only one bin bag provided furthermore it is a bit noisy at night due to being right next to the highway but at the same time it was such a great spot

Location Noise from the freeway

Location was good for the CBD however it was dreadful for its close proximity to the M1 and right on top of the Burnley Tunnel. The noise from the trucks on the M1 was horrendous. It was at its worst between 3am and 6am as they use their engines to brake when slowing down to enter the Burnley Tunnel. We had to buy ear plugs which helped a little with the noise. Stay Central said it was something that was not often mentioned, which really surprised me. It felt like we were sleeping on the motorway!! How can anyone sleep with this din going on??? The windows of the apartment were absolutely filthy. When I complained to Stay Central they told me they looked ok in the photos sent by the person preparing the apartment. When I sent photos he agreed they were terrible. We stayed there for 9 nights - I advised him of the filthy windows on the 3rd day but for some reason there was no way they could be cleaned before we left! If this was my business I’d have gone there myself to clean them!! Very poor I thought to treat a paying guest this way. He offered me a discount to rebook again - as if I would! It was all about money. After I’d booked this on Booking.com he sent me an email and asked me to cancel my booking.com booking and rebook with him direct and he would take $25 off my bill as booking.com take fees. I thought this was appalling behaviour. It also said the apartment had city views!! It had MOTORWAY VIEWS!

Everything was fine

The location is excellent - it is only a few minutes' walk to Flinders Station, Crown Casino and the tram stops are only a short stroll away. Woolworths is close by. The apartment is clean and well maintained, with artistic features. The kitchen is well furnished with the nessary utensils. As we intended to stay there for 10 days, they overlooked to supply more diswashing capsules and garbage bin liners but we were able to get that sorted out easily. The balcony is a bit noisy because of busy traffic on City Road but that did not bother us much as we kept the door closed. They could have included the parking lot number (1106) in the welcoming pack instead of just saying the fourth car space on the left on level 3 - it is easier to find that way. Chris Mcdonald, the Managing Director is helpful. We appreciated a lot that he gave us three days' refund because we had to depart 3 days earlier due to the covid-19 snap lockdown from 13/2/21, and rushed to cross the border back to NSW at mid-night that day to avoid the quarantine. A bit noisy when we opened the balcony door because of heavy traffic on City Road but that was fine as we just kept the door closed.
