The smell in the common areas and hallways. Like damp. But our room was fine.

The bedroom was very spacious and the cooked breakfast was lovely. We arrived on a Saturday afternoon to find a letter on the desk (no staff) saying there was no staff working and the restaurant and bar were closed that evening so we had to find somewhere to eat and buy refreshments. The bed was uncomfortable due to a lumpy mattress topper, the room was next to some kennels with dogs barking, the smoke alarm kept beeping every hour or so (battery needs changing), we had a fan in our room but it was very loud and not very effective. A poor nights sleep for both of us.

Nice room overlooking garden/ trees, clean but old and quirky. Breakfast was good but preprepared ready for timed sitting. No information on checkout, Information booklet out of date.

Nothing. I booked 3 rooms for my family who were coming to my daughters wedding nearby. On the Friday evening, I was advised by my family that they had been told there was no breakfast available for the following morning. I called Sarah the Manager, who advised me no breakfast was on offer because they hadn't booked breakfast! There was absolutely nothing on the Booking.com booking form that stated breakfast was not included, or that it needed to be asked for! Sarah offered to bring in some pastries and yoghurts at 09:30 the following morning. The guests then pre-ordered a cooked breakfast for Sunday morning but the man who prepared it appeared to still be inebriated from the night before and could hardly stand up. I did not see the hotel, but my family had a terrible time with many other issues such as showers that could only produce a trickle of water, no kettle, no shampoo etc. They said the beds were comfortable. No one was at the hotel when they left on Sunday morning and now I have had a bill sent to me for the breakfasts! I have asked for a partial refund because the facilities were inadequate but have heard no more.

Lovely location, property management listened to feedback given limited evening meal options, great options nearby

Bed was comfortable. Bath water was cold. Breakfast was overcooked.

Could be a great boutique hotel but it’s incredibly run down inside and out. So tatty especially outside just needs some serious money spent.

Breakfast was amazing. A very large tasty full English . Toast, coffee and fruit salad and yoghurt. Very well presented I liked everything
