Baymont by Wyndham Spearfish

I would not stay here again. Breakfast was terrible. Pool and hot tub were drained. Had to ask twice for a blow dryer and refused to leave the desk until I got one.

The hotel is very run down and in poor repair. The pool was closed due to repair needed. The room was somewhat clean, but given the poor condition I wouldn’t expect more. The shower curtain rod had been replaced but the dry wall was left unpainted on both sides. The whole bathroom needs replaced. The toilet ran all night. The dust ruffle on one of the beds was ripped, which could be a tripping hazard if one got a foot caught in it when getting out of bed. Breakfast was okay. We won’t be staying there again and will not recommend this hotel.

Old and wore out. No blow dryers in room. Could stand a good deep cleaning. TV did not work.

The breakfast had sour milk, outdated yogurt ND ransod orange juice. Some people didnt even have toilet paper in there rooms and they gave them kleenex.

Excellent staff above and beyond

This is a dated property but they do their best to keep it open at nice summer rates. While in Spearfish, make sure to visit the fish hatchery. Short drive to Spearfish Canyon and Deadwood.

Passable

Unfortunately the pool was also drained which was not expected. The staff however were excellent.

Exceptional

The room we got had one chair a dresser and a tv in the living area. The bedroom had two beds as advertised but probably would have been more comfortable to sleep on the floor. Could have used some sound proofing, you could hear everything going on outside the room. Wouldn’t recommend.

Was convenient enough for what we needed The room was not the cleanest, and even though I asked every day that it would be cleaned….. the staff never cleaned it. Their for. I had to go down every day and get clean towels etc

The room was clean. The bathroom light above the sink/mirror did not work. And what was once a heat lamp in the bathroom was replaced with a ceiling light. We had to turn the timer button on for the light. The knobs for the air conditioning unit were missing so we could not adjust it. The unit ran continuously ALL night. There was no manager on duty to complain to after we checked in or when we checked out. The manager will not call you back. My number was left on 2 separate occasions and I did not get a call back.

A great stay

Our pillows didn’t have any pillowcases and then the bed sheets had some things on and in them. Along with that the bathroom door didn’t shut and the room had a musty smell to it. But the staff was great and overall was an ok stay for the price.

Very poor

Was a good hotel to stay at. Of course there was a price surge but it was during Sturgis so to be expected. Older hotel but clean. Beds are very comfortable

The room and bathroom was dirty and outdated. There was stains on the walls, bathtub, and shower. The towels also were stained.

We had booked two rooms, the one room was fine but the other room there was no plug-ins within reach so there was no Refrigerator, Microwave, the latch lock was broke, had to ask 3 times for the ground cup for the coffee machine. This was all in room 111. Felt sorry for the staff, my impression was they were under staffed and not trained well.

Prices were hiked because of Sturgis. Breakfast was subpar and bathroom in our room was dirty. Fridge was not cleaned out either. There was stuff left from previous guest.

Quiet room, comfortable bed, and nice staff.
