Agava Lux Rooms & Pool

The location was fantastic I stayed in a loft room, which was perfectly fine for a one-night stay. However, my experience was let down by the behavior of the cleaner. Checkout was at 10am (to the best of my memory), and just as I was opening the door to leave, on time, I was met with aggressive knocking and shouting, telling me to get out. As a solo traveler, this was quite unsettling and unnecessary. It really affected what was otherwise a decent stay.

Location Management and comfort

Very good communication, the room was cleaned regularly, and it's close to the main areas in the city. We forgot something in the room after checkout and the staff went above and beyond sending the missed object via mail. Very grateful!

Very central to all amenities. Beds were comfortable and plenty of hot water for the shower. The safe didn’t seem to work. There was no plug for the sink and the hairdryer timed out after a few minutes on full power.

Our room was clean, comfortable and right in the heart off Split so the location was wounderful. The rooms are in a old building with lots off charm. Tv, kettle and safe in the room. Cleaned daily by cleaners. We used the hotel swimming pool on a hot sunny day. They provided towels. Fast food places just a step outside the rooms. Right by the Rivera strip of resurants and shops over looking the sea.

It was a great location for heading in to the old town and only a 5-10 min walk to the actual hotel to use the pool. Top floor room which could be an issue if you had heavy cases as there is no lift.

good location near the marina the room is not in the main hotel - this is not made obvious at all in the listing nor through communication after booking. breakfast was a lovely restaurant but again not on site and we didn’t know this until we checked in. pool is in the main hotel, no one was there to let us in when we tried to use it despite it being during the hours we were told it was open. room is nice but very snug and low ceiling, and up four flights of very steep stairs. doesn’t have the finish or facilities expected of a four star hotel.

the friendly receptionist and that the room was clean and pretty and the location is good. I got scammed. The room is advertised as "luxury room & pool" but the pool is at a 7min walk in a annexed hotel and that was only mentioned upon arrival. the room is pretty but quite simple, doesn't even have parking or a view. On our 10 day trip around Croatia this was the worst room we stayed and the most expensive, I justified the price for the pool and the luxury I was expecting but it was the only apartment we struggled with, it was the smallest, the worst stares and the simplest room of the whole trip. the only reason why I booked this room was because of the pool and the location. We had to changed into our swimsuit in a tiny bathroom next to the reception, the pool is quite small so it gets busy very fast. the room was in a third floor which was a problem for us because my mom suffers from her knees. overall disappointing booking.

The location was nearby everything which was great. The staff were very helpful with everything. Would be back! We had a family with kids staying above us and we could hear them running around for hours. We informed the staff about this as it went on for 4+ hours and furniture was being moved around. Unfortunately, it didn't stop but they checked out the following day which resolved the issue

location was excellent, but not easy to find initially. Clean, compact room. Good facilities tea / coffee, toiletries. Should have been told to check in at the Agava hotel, found the hotel by mistake as rooms not really showing on Google maps but needed to be there to check in. Be. warned you could be on the third floor with steep steps.

The location is fantastic. Close to so many lovely restaurants and only a few steps from the old palace walls

We stayed in the annex building and were met by the lovely receptionist who carried our bags up to the room. Great location, super clean, comfortable bed, and the pool in the main building is amazing. Overall 10/10 we have already been back and recommended to friends visiting split.

Very centel location , ( not in the main hotel where the pool is located) the reception meet us at the po potty, was very friendly and helpfull. The room was not near the pool hotel building , which is in another location. Too many steps leading to the room, very steep and narrow, good job we only had a small bag. No water supplied in the room , which would have been nice. The mini bar was totally empty. The bathroom very very small hard to get go the wc if you are slightly big in size. The booking com picture shows pool, when booking make sure you are in the main building which is very nice. In another location. Where all the friendly staff are. The building where we stayed is for a fit person due to all the steps. Would have been nice if the hotel had a booket with recommendations places to eat.

Amazing location, very clean, really friendly & informative host, breakfast served at a cafe 2 min walk away great food and hosts. Recommend Agava you won't be disappointed. Split is a beautiful place with definitely return. ???????

Poor

Brilliant location and lovely rooms. Great to have access to the hotel pool too. We were up 5 flights of stairs which was fine for us but some people may struggle if they find stairs difficult.
