I liked the overall ambience of the houseboat both inisde and aswell as out side. The atomosphere around the houseboat in the Dal lake was quite relaxing. The rooms were clean and well maintained. The owner Goona Lateef saheb was quite friendly and forthcoming for help. We had great converstions in liesure. I also had wonderful time with very gentle mannered Mr. Iqbal, who took me around on Shikara rides in Dal lake and provided daily services in house boat. The breakfast provided in the houseboat was simple but quite tasty and healthy. Nothing.

Friendly family reception. Nothing at all.

We stayed for 2 nights at Going Palace houseboat. It is a deluxe houseboat with intricately decorated. Rooms were nice and clean. The bathrooms were very clean. The facilities in the houseboat were very good. The staff - Wasim, Same er and Sams were very friendly and catered to all our requests.. The food was very homely and tasty. The houseboat location is also great with very good views and away from the sounds of the main road but not far from gate 12. Mr. Goona took special care that we are ok. Overall a very pleasant stay and highly recommended.

The owner is very friendly and the property is very well maintained. The staff is good and they provided us great home cooked food. We had amazing conversations with the owner and this property is apt for family as well as friends. Highly recommend you to come, stay and you will definitely have a wonderful time.

Location was only good part for the houseboat. I did not like rooms on Houseboat as rooms were very smelly. As soon as I was shown my deluxe room and we entered, we came out due to foul smell. Also staff was very rude as when I complained about the smell they did not take it well and when I was asking for any other rooms, they were not helpful. I felt like I was stuck as money is paid and I have to spend one night with such room somehow. I will never recommend Goona Houseboat to anyone.

The location was absolutely stunning, and the staff was fantastic. The manager, Mr. Lateef, was very helpful and ensured we had a comfortable stay. The food was homely and delicious, and he also arranged transport for us at a very reasonable price. I highly recommend Goona Palace Houseboat to anyone visiting Kashmir. We had an amazing time there! Nothing

The owner is a great guy. We had a nice evening in the boat and spoke about life. The boat is comfortable for a family. Even in winter.

Friendly staff who will go out of the way to ensure good and comfortable stay at the boathouse. Nasir even help us to get sim card. Enjoying our breakfast on the terrace watching life in the dal lake and enjoying the peace is another plus. Thank you for hosting us. The sqeeky floor, but that is normal for wooden floors. Just have to walk lightly.

Location is ok. Heater facility is only for limited time. No electrical heater. They use kerosene heater so smell of kersene remains in room.
-
- Food, Shikara rides, staff behaviour, location - Electricity supply is not continuous

Mr. Latef was very helpful from the moment I booked. He was very flexible on terms and proposed me a few plans according to my request, feelings, and budget on my arrival. In fact, I had a vague idea of what I wanted to do, I just wanted to relax and enjoy nature in the quiet environment. I felt I could trust Mr. Latef as a person and 3 nights 4 days of my short Kashimir stay started. The people who he connected me to proceed with the trips were also very trustworthy and good. I did not need to worry about being a single female traveler at all. I can not think of anything. it is worth the value.

Comfortable houseboat, good position not far from the Boulevard by boat but still very quiet at night. Staff was great, attentive, caring, funny, helpful and eternal source of good conversation, a thing we always appreciate. Room number 4 was large enough, with good storage space, VERY hot water, and a good bed (although a bit on the hard side). Breakfast a bit limited but genuine and freshly made. The tour on the lake was excellent (great rowing, Nisar!) and all in all it was a great experience. There were, although, a few things to point out, not sure if addressable or not, take them as suggestions, not critics. 1) soundproofing is basically non-existant: we're far from the road noise, which is great, but you can hear everything from the next room. Not much of a problem since we were waking up early anyway 2) on both sides there's a small triangular window over the main window with no tent and no way to block the light and the sun: it can get hot fast 3) the common area outside with chairs has no shade at all, it would have been nice to relax there on the water for a bit but the sun was unbearable.
