Top floor room was great, affording a sea view. The square of chocolate on the bed. Our hosts were very informative and John had a wicked sense of humour. Delicious cooked breakfast. My awkward stance at the loo, positioned under the sloping roof (no problem for the wife!)

The breakfast was delicious and the hosts John and Linda were very friendly and talkative. The place was exceptionally clean and well kept. It felt very cozy and simple. Great bang for the buck. We loved our stay but we did find the room a bit damp. And the showers were quite small but to be expected for the price and the type of stay this was.

John and Linda are welcoming and thoughtful hosts. Breakfast is delicious. The location is right next to Carbis bay, St. Ives is easy to reach through bus or train. We spent a weekend off season, I would definetely go back!

The owners - Lynda and John were delightful and very welcoming. Breakfast excellent and room was nice. Close to a very good if somewhat expensive restaurant, however the main course of fresh local fish was perfect. Location for us was great. Easy walk to beach, where there plenty of choice in eating out. John helped out with narrow parking that is very necessary on a main road. There was nothing to dislike, the stay was excellent But and this comment is nothing to do with the stay in the B&B. If you going on to Lands End - be aware the parking charge is a whopping £8, for any period over 20 minutes- it's a rip off. There is very little to see except some expensive shops, a children's den and fast food.

The hosts were very knowledgeable and willing to give advice on local attractions. The mattress in my small room could have been firmer.

John and Linda are absolutely wonderful hosts. Linda’s breakfasts are simply scrumptious, John’s wealth of knowledge invaluable, and together they make the perfect team. The room was extremely well appointed with very comfy beds, plenty of stow room in the wardrobe and a practical bathroom. The seaview was a lovely bonus. The bus stop nearby was great for getting about St Ives and the local area. My sister and I were welcomed and looked after like family and we were sorry our stay was so short. But we’ll be back. all tip top

John and Linda were superb! They really made us feel at home and comfortable in every way! When I enquired about things to do, John was terrific in informing us what to see/do, how to get there and giving us a bus timetable and map of the area. Linda gave us extra towels on top of what we asked for and carrier bags for packing fragile items when leaving as well! Overall the stay was really first class and the cooked breakfasts in the morning gave us the perfect start to every day! We also loved how informative they were and how nothing was too much trouble and could even have a laugh during our stay! The shower was small but understand this cannot be changed.

Excellent breakfasts. Good location for beach access and exploring the area.. Big help to have a bedside clock. No table in bedroom and limited TV channels.

  • Engine customer Sep 2024

The location was fantastic, nice walk down to the beach, few choices of eateries and coffee down there. Freshly cooked breakfast every morning which you choose on the morning for the next day with a good selection to choose from. The hosts John and Linda were brilliant and lovely and cannot do enough for you, there knowledge of the area really helps especially if you choose to use the bus which stops not far from the place. The long steep hill on the way back from the beach!!
