Motel 6 Saint Paul, MN - I-94

Ac was broken, did not stay, couldn't get a refund. No bulbs in night stands. Some lights didn't work.

It was a budget hotel, so the amenities were budget also. We mostly needed a bed to sleep in, and that was what we got! The staff were lovely though- courteous and helpful

I really wanted to give this place a two start review but when all of my clothes smelled like smoke after staying in this hotel for two days I had to give them one star. I am going to be detailed just so people know what they are getting into. First the good things. The bed was clean and nice and there were no bugs. The location is easy to get to and from (although the neighborhood seemed questionable). Other than that just about everything else was bad. I arrived at the hotel at around 3pm and the small parking lot was already crowded. There was no handicap parking (not that the space was taken up, there just was none). The front desk had a notice that all guests needed to present photo IDs for check in, there was a sign next to the desk that anyone that was not a guest and had not checked in with a photo ID would be considered trespassing under Florida's laws (this hotel is of course not in Florida). The hotel lobby smelled funny, like a combination of mold and old cigarette smoke. When I got up to the second floor to my room the odor of cigarette smoke was much stronger, the hallway reeked if it. Our room smelled a little bit better but I suspect they had just sprayed some sort of deodorizer spray in there (the cigarette small came right back). Everything I had smelled like smoke when I got home.

The staff were very frendily The room was disgusting. The bathtub drain was clogged with har and had water stuck in it from previous guests. The ac had some nasty gunk in it. Bedding looked like it hadn't got washed for days. The floors were also gross. I was supposed to stay for 3 night and could only stay one

First of all, the staff were friendly and nothing to complain about. The girl who checked me in was especially nice. That's about where the good ends here. The property is old and dated but as I went to my room I thought that the room must be nicer. I was definitely mistaken. The pictures online are nothing like what the hotel looks like at this stage. There's a TV and a bed in the room and that's about it. I realize that it's a motel 6 but I have stayed in plenty of them and this is by far the worst. The paint on the walls is pretty rough and overall the walls and floor were dirty, there's no adjusting the temperature in the room, holes in the curtains, and there were random hairs places. I was staying here by myself and was gone all day so I didn't need much but even so, I don't think I would have made the same choice when it came to choosing this place. There is NO WAY I would stay here with my family. So with all that being said, if you're wanting a hotel with a decent location and you're really wanting to save some money, MAYBE this is a okay option. Now if you're in the city and you really need to save money, I would probably still try one of the other places that were very close in price. Now again, the staff was pleasant enough and I would say that they are making a pretty rough place into...well, slightly better.

The one positive aspect of our stay was the staff. They were understanding and accommodating when we expressed our concerns. Although we had originally booked three nights, they allowed us to check out after the first night without penalty and refunded us for the remaining two nights. We greatly appreciated their professionalism and customer service.

It simply was a place for me to lay my head to rest while coming through town from out of state. The room did not smell pleasant. Towels were dirty with hair or stain. The bathroom was not clean. The bathtub had hair as well as dirty. The toilet handle to flush needs fixing. Honestly, the price ($116 for one night) that I paid was not worth it. The room overall is worth $30 given the factors of the conditions the room was presented to me. My experience 2 years ago from here was a lot better but now, it seems like a rundown place with owners and staff not caring to make the motel feel comfortable or welcoming for travelers.

My first room...the AC didn't work but they moved me and my new room is great!!! Thank you front desk people !!!!!

Price was good but the room smelled like smoke and the the ac was so loud that it made sleeping difficult, and was loud for no reason ac blew weak air

The motel is located close to a couple of gas stations, McDonalds, Arbys, etc. and it's very close to the interstate. My room was clean, no soft chair, looked like it had just been painted as there was still blue painters tape around the towel rack. TV and wifi worked well, loads of hot water, smaller towels, vinyl flooring (no carpet or rugs). Bed was adequate. Motel room was not sound proof - I could hear everything. The neighborhood is fairly quiet though. Overall, it wasn't a bad stay for 1 evening. The night auditor was very nice and helpful.
