We will not be staying here ever again.

The room was very nice, beds were comfortable and the dual shower heads were awesome. The food at Sam's breakfast area was fresh and good, the staff was outtanding (friendly, fast and knowledgeable). The front desk staff were all very helpful.

From start to finish, the staff made her feel welcome and looked after. She is not someone who complains easily, but she is also not shy about it when something is wrong. After three weeks, she had not a single negative word to say, which tells you everything. What stood out most was how consistently attentive the team was throughout a long stay, not just at check-in. For an older guest traveling alone, that kind of reliability matters more than any amenity. She felt comfortable, safe, and respected the entire time. If you are considering this hotel for a parent or older relative staying independently, I would not hesitate to recommend it. The staff here clearly take hospitality seriously, and it showed.

Bed was comfortable. Locations was great. So many restaurants in walking distance. No free breakfast but the Starbucks in the lobby was very good.

Room 312, with a pair of queens, felt smallish, with its oversized dresser/tv stand/ refrigerator enclosure. Bedding was comprised of layers of sheets, pillows and mattress were tired and worn. Most notable gripe, a proper shower will leave the entire bathroom floor and entrance area badly flooded and the staff were well aware of this problem. Apparently, this flooding issue is not limited to just this room. We had the breakfast included option which was nice. I am fairly disappointed with this Marriott property. I will not be staying here again on my next trip to Stamford.

This hotel is old and dreary looking. The bar in it was no different. Water pressure was excellent. Bedding was comfortable. But everything down to the wobbly elevators looks and feels worn and dull. For $342 a night, I expected more. Time for this hotel to be completely renovated.

Convenient location for me in downtown Stamford. Checking in was simple, and my room was ready for me when I arrived. The parking garage can become very full at times, making it difficult to park. There is additional parking across the street, but that’s not convenient (or safe) when coming back to the hotel very late. The room was clean, and the shower was exceptional with a waterfall shower head. The lobby, hallways and common areas could use some sprucing up. The bed was not comfortable, but for one night, it was fine. Recommended for a short stay.

Convenient to everything

Very large group was checking in for the weekend. ( conference ) They took up a major portion of the lobby as well as the area coming out of the garage. We had to wait for an extended time to get checked in. My suggestion would be to have the rooms designated and a credit card on file prior to their arrival. There was so much discussion with each conference attendee about the room they were getting. Transient guests should not have to wait for large groups to get checked in. My other suggestion would be that someone be designated to keep the group in one location. They were just everywhere and it was hard to move thru them to get where you wanted to go. A bit disappointing. The group just had the run of the hotel.

Breakfast was good. The price was high and our door to get into the room wouldn’t open properly so we had to get moved to a different room. No ice on our floor.

Una atención muy buena la limpieza super
-
Attentive staff at both front desk and breakfast.
-
We only stayed for a quick overnight, good option for a quick stopover before getting to NY. The bar downstairs, a bit grungy either way grumpy staff. Lucky we had dinner before we got there.
-
The closeness to everything we did I felt it was overpriced.

Breakfast was delicious. Fresh fruit and freshly made omelettes were a big hit.

I personally wasn't a huge fan of the room. Reason being- The room was old and wasn't to my standards. The sprinkler head was coming from the wall, and there must have been a lot of condensation around the windows.

We were attend a conference and I must say that the staff was friend and accommodating. The food was good and the hotel conference rooms were comfortable considering that we had a very large group. The hotel did well in accommodating us. I was disappointed that the spa was out of service at the time of our vist but overall it was good.

Location? Even though I paid for my room in advance, the room was not available to me. They told me they were giving me another room but then continue to charge me the same price that I was paying for my original room the next day because of what they had done. They tried to make it right but not really Additionally, I don't know who didn't do what they promised. It was either bookings or Marriott. You both suck
