We enjoyed our stay so much

We had a great stay and the place was very well located for a wedding that we were attending on a neighbouring farm. Place is exceptional and the service was even better. Thanks very much to Francois and the team.

Location of the pool is not ideal. Most of the time in the shade. There was not sufficient attention to the clients needs by management. Staff is generally not sufficient proactive. The hotel/Manor had just reopened after a large renovation and management is still struggling with some basic features.

Magnificent historical homestead, set amongst the most beautiful gardens and gigantic old oak trees. Blissfully quiet starry nights blessed with the full moon for our stay and sunny days to explore Stellenbosch. So conveniently situated on the R44 for an easy drive to get everywhere. Our bedroom in the Manor House absolutely luxurious and gorgeous. Delicious breakfast every morning and a complimentary wine tasting which we all loved. Have savoured every moment shared with our girls who have stayed in their own rooms in the equally as beautiful Jonkershuis beside us. We highly recommend anyone coming to stay and enjoy Blaauwklippen which is steeped in history and showcases art displayed within their Wine Tasting area. Everything is a spoil and delicious with a wonderful and efficient team who take care of absolutely everything for you. Have loved every second …

The estate itself is very pretty and exceptionally maintained. Hotel staff were very helpful and considerate. Overall facilities were great and quite up to the expectations we had. The only real negative point I have is that there is no restaurant that is open after 18:00. This was unexpected and needs you to go into town which is not up to Newmark standards to be honest. Would only stay again if there would be a restaurant open in the evening.

Blaauwklippen is a beautiful well maintained estate. Upon our arrival, we discovered that the room we were allocated differed significantly from the superior room depicted in the photos we had viewed during booking. Instead, we found ourselves situated at the rear of the property, adjacent to a sewage drain emitting an odour. Additionally, the room's dimensions did not match those depicted in the images.

Beautiful historic buildings and property is beautifully maintained. The room is nicely appointed albeit very small. We enjoyed a nice breakfast, very good coffee. We found the fact that there is no restaurant or room service on a Sunday evening quite unfortunate. There was nothing open. There is nowhere to be on the property aside from our room, which was lovely but cramped. In terms of value for money there are other hotels in the area that offer much more for similar rates.
