Large room Gruff greeting from young “manager” upon arrival. The room was very dusty and carpet was tired and looked dirty. The shower base had black mould in every join. You can fix this! Had dinner in the restaurant and ordered a bottle of white wine. The same “manager” plonked down two steaming hot and wet wine glasses. My wife asked that they be replaced but was told that they were all fresh out of the dishwasher and that’s all they had. The food was actually quite good. Overall very poor value for well over $500AUD per night.

Well located with car parking provisions. Rooms were comfortable and complimentary water and snacks were provided. Fresh pastries supplied at breakfast was excellent. Room was downstairs under the main public area and was very noisy. The room itself smelt damp and the bathroom has signs of mould. When came time use the shower in the morning the flow kept cutting out. When this was reported we were told that the building was old and water pressure was dependant on other guests usages. Breakfast was included with hot and cold options, the standard of some food was average, coffee was cold and the toast provided was thin, cold and we got the end crust pieces of the loaf.

Location was good and staff were friendly. Noise from works upstairs was unbearable just as we were getting up in the morning.

Walking distance to castle. Free parking Curvy stairs that made dragging a large suitcase up to the bedroom floor nearly impossible. Did not feel help was that helpful. Breakfast was not as advertised. No yogurt as they could not figure out how to keep it cold. How about in a portable cooler? All egg dishes were extra.

Convenient location and the food was nice. All though the food was nice, it was contaminated. I'm celiac and maybe the chef used the wrong utensils, I was very sick in the night. The room itself was reached by going downstairs via a door next to the kitchen, the corridor which lead to the room was very smelly. The room itself didn't smell as fresh as it could and the bathroom smelt damp. But, the contaminated food absolutely ruined my birthday weekend, I had to cancel all my trips I had planned the following day and had to check out early as I couldn't sleep due to being too sick.

The staff were very friendly, good clean room comfy bed,great breakfast good location near town 5min walk for active people well stocked bar.Free carpark. Stairs from carpark to reception or steep slope around to front.Stairs to upper floor rooms and stairs down to lower ground floor room,more research on our behalf not suitable in my opinion for less able guest Geoff

Exceptional

Super friendly staff. Excellent restaurant onsite. We had dinner there and it was great. Our room was rather spacious. Location was reasonable. Short walk to center, though a bit more to the castle. Bathroom was a little cramped. Floors creaked, but in a charming way. No elevator for heavy luggage, but they did offer repeatedly to carry it up the steps.
