We had a pleasant stay at Talta lodge for two nights. We loved the location and the outdoors of this place, especially the fire pits and the the various places to lounge around the building. Also loved that there was complementary coffee/ tea. Now the things that would probably discourage me from returning are that there is this unpleasant moldy smell in the rooms that does not go away even after airing out the room but you get used to it once you are inside for a while. Also, I found snack wrappers on the floor under the bed which was unexpected.

It was a very beautiful place. Clean, modern, great location. The only thing that we would have to usher to be different was the pool temperature. It was warm enough for swimming but not for playing with kids which was what we wanted to do.

The staff was very polite and helpful.

Best dog friendly lodge! Great green space and right along the river bed for dogs and humans to cool off.

We ended up in the last room on the hall, in the back, basically built into the hill. It was so dim and damp. In fact, nothing would dry it was so damp. Towels, swimwear, damp clothes from rain. And it had a smell. I dont want to say odor, but it smelled musty. For the first night we literally could not get the room above 60f and we froze! I also hate to say, but it definitely had not been properly cleaned before we arrived. The bathroom floor had actually blood between the tiles. Was it a stain? I wasnt going to tackle it to find out. And there were plastic tag holders on one bed from the previous stays new clothes. Leading me to believe at least one bed hadn't been changed. Anyway...the property is great. Pool nice, but cold. Some areas definitely need attention (like the walk out of the sliding doors in the common room, definatly covered the floor falling apart with a rug). Also the hallways are so dark! There is no storage inside to rooms. Just the peg wall, so good luck hanging any clothing. Overall, good. Not great. Not bad.

We truly enjoyed our stay at Tälta Lodge. Our room was basic and clean, which is all we needed. It was well priced for an overnight stay while sightseeing in Vermont. We especially loved the Lodge's amenities. The hot tub, although small, was never crowded. The cool pool and air-conditioned room were truly refreshing, as it was a very hot and humid day in Stowe. The front desk staff were friendly and helpful. Our only complaint is that our room was downstairs near the pool, and it was very noisy until about midnight - so bring earplugs.

Our room was clean but had a odor to it that wasn’t clean. The staff was excellent even keeping my freezer packs for me in their freezer. A free ev charger was available for use. I would stay there again. The property is beautiful.

Location is a great mix of downtown and the notch access. Stuga rooms are an excellent feature. My Stuga was a little dirty in that the sink had bugs living in them (maybe fruit flies). The modern style bathroom can be silly. The water from the shower spills beyond the angled tiles and the sink to faucet gap barely allows one to wash their hands.

Comfy beds and pool plus hot tub! Definitely recommended!

We love staying in the taltas for the summer. Such a relaxing experience.

Location is fabulous! The hotel is great but we had stayed there 4 years ago probably after it was newly renovated and it could use a tiny bit of refreshing in the rooms now. The room this time was small but good. Had a king bed with a deck out the back. Last time we were lucky and the same category of room had a large footprint. Room had coffee pods to use but no coffee maker/pot. It was a tea pot for just boiling water so that was confusing LOL there's a small room off the pool area that had tiny hand weights. would have been nice to add a few mats in there and maybe some more substantial weights for someone to have a quick work out.

Beautiful location and property. Everything else was perfectly adequate.

The outdoor hot tub was nice, as were the robes, though I didn’t use one because I didn’t think of it.

From the moment we checked in until we checked out we felt like we were at home. Maria was the most incredible front desk agent she made us feel so welcome and comfortable and assured us she was readily available for anything we needed. The amenities were such a surprise… the pool and hot tub were such perks especially the tub on the cool night we got! Luis was also an incredible host… so conversational and accommodating. They are examples of exceptional hospitality. We can’t wait to come back!
