Motel 6 Summerville, SC – Charleston

Terrible experience, cockroaches in the bathroom and the shower curtain was full of mildew, I booked a king room and to my surprise upon entering the room in was a double bed. I called the front desk and apparently they got overbooked and changed my room type without letting me know. The fridge was unplugged when I entered the room , water was all over the floor and it smelled awful. I asked to be moved to a different room but to my surprise the lady at the front desk said that was the only room they had available. I was also told that someone would come clean the fridge the next day, that never happened. I was then told they only clean the rooms every other week and I had to bring my dirty towels down that I used to clean the floor from the fridge leaking to be able to get cleans towels to even take a shower. The elevator sounded terrible like it was going to break down any minute. Will not return l, this place needs to be inspected and shut down!!

Then there was a problem with the initial room given that it wasn’t made and ready for a guest to arrive so again the front desk clerk ( Kimmy J) reassigned me to a different room. The room was clean and cozy. Then another issue arose with no TV remote so again Kimmy was great to go find one for me. This was my second stay here with in a month and it was the same as the first time and the best part was the helpful front desk clerk.

Only complaint I had was it stated that there was someone at the desk 24 hours a day. Not so. Went to check out early Monday morning and no one was at the front desk to check me out. Sign on the window said hours and where to go if you did need help. I would stay there again.

The one thing that ruined our experience were the roaches that were in our bathroom. I killed a total of 4 roaches. I would not recommend staying here unless you need a place for cheap.

This motel 6 by far is the best. Doing a lot of updates motel . Rooms are very clean

Room was very clean,staff helpful , parking spacios

First room we got had an occupant that was just as surprise as we were when we tried to open the door. Given two other rooms, one of those was also occupied. Third room just looked old and dirty. We requested a refund and left to stay at the Hampton

the room didn't have washclothes and only two towels Need some extra cleaning

When arrived appeared to be cleaned, but floor had a very waxy light buildup on it and your feet tops. Everything was black. went to ask staff the next morning for towels. There were no towels we left for the day and came back. The room had not been cleaned and we still did not get clean towels the night staff was very apologetic and very accommodative. Aesthetic of room was OK, but it was not clean at all.. and one second room did get clean towels. They were dirty.

Only stayed 1 night, but nice clean room, bed was comfortable, lots of restaurants close by.

I don’t know anything about the property because my room was not ready when I got there to check in at 3:40 PM. So I had them cancel the room and found another hotel. Everything

Excellent location Elevator was broken, so my handicap wife had a hard time navigating the stairs, had to have the door key redone about every day

Great location Had to go have key card redone a few times, the elevator was broken so my wife struggled with climbing the stairs
