The staff are so friendly. We booked the two-bedroom apartment. The room is spacious with two bathrooms. It has a nice city view. The room is clean, and the bedroom has a comfy bed. We will definitely return to this hotel when visiting Surabaya. The water dispenser is outside the room, so we have to go back and forth to refill the drinking jar. Preferably, it is provided inside the room.

The restaurant My recent stay at Midtown Residence Surabaya was defined by a severe, unacceptable breach of guest privacy and professional conduct. I must emphatically urge future guests to avoid this property due to this profound failure. While the reservation was exclusively under my name, I was shocked to learn that hotel personnel actively assisted unauthorized external parties in seeking contact with my accompanying guest. Even after a sensible resolution was arranged—for the guest to meet the outside party downstairs—the hotel staff took aggressive, highly disruptive action. They repeatedly called our room, and the situation violently escalated when staff began persistently ringing the doorbell and aggressively knocking on our door late into the night. This campaign of harassment and intrusion occurred while I was in the middle of conducting critical, time-sensitive remote work meetings, resulting in significant professional damage and stress in what should have been a secure, private space. This demonstrates a deep-seated failure by the hotel to respect basic guest security and autonomy. Allowing unauthorized individuals to pursue a guest, followed by staff aggressively enforcing contact late at night, is beyond unprofessional. I discussed the issue with the Manager the next morning; while they offered apologies and admitted their error, words cannot mitigate the serious nature of this security and privacy violation. My immediate plan to extend my stay was instantly canceled. Management must implement mandatory, rigorous training focused on protecting guest data and ensuring room security.

Great breakfast. Place is a bit tired one elevator didn't work, the other two were not interconnected making unnecessary stops and wasting time. The air conditioner sounded like a helicopter

This is the 2nd time we stayed in this place . They have spacious room ,facilities is okey and staff are lovely . Easy to go everywhere as this place closed with town center . Staff are lovely and helpful. Next time we will stay in here again . They should put mirror on the table as women need it for make up on . And probably out TV somewhere else in the bedroom area or put TV on the wall . In the bathroom there shower room and I think better use shower hose tha much easier if we want to clean feet or wudhu . Because shower that they put on ,once you inside the shower whole body will get wet .

Enjoyed: Nice staff, good breakfast, spacious room. Good facilities in the room. Not so good: - Couldn't have a properly comfortable night because of the AC. Can't adjust fan, swing, or temperature, it just stays on blasting directly over the bed. - No rooftop vibe :( - Mall next door is dead, but fortunately there's a convenience store at least.

Breakfast has a lot of variation and good taste. The shower head is not good and also the hairdryer doesn't run well (small, slow). Bathroom is also not that clean, there was a small cockroach.

The staff Although the staff were very friendly and helpful, the hotel itself was not clean. The walls were dirty as if they haven't been painted since the opening of the hotel. The bed linens and the towels were very old, and the duvet cover was torn. The room had so.e mosquito-like insects that stung us during our sleep. The location was very far from everything, and the area around the hotel was very dirty and stinky. I definitely won't go back there and discourage anyone who may decide to stay there.

The staff are excellent. The standout staff members being Doni and Richard. Breakfast team, very good indeed. There is noise from the traffic and the early morning call to prayer, but this is Indonesia, we must have these things.
