Waterway Inn

The staff were so friendly and helpful in every aspect of our stay. The room was clean, attractive, and well equipped.

From the moment I arrived, I was welcomed by the wonderful staff and was able to get a great room AND book for an additional night which was not available on the website! I wish they had an ice machine for small amounts of ice. They sell bags of ice for coolers, but I didn't have one (and they're not allowed in the room). I just needed enough for cold drinks.

The owners are friendly, helpful, all around great vibes.

There was no breakfast. The room was quite small but we mde it work.

It was in a quiet location complete with a gorgeous view of the waterway. Especially excellent for watching the sunset. They also offer boat rentals and rides one of the nearby islands. Super worth the price! Everything was perfect during my stay. Nothing to complain or opportunities for improvement that I could see.

Cute firepit area and some games like corn hole. Beautiful scenery to look at and so much fun kayaking right from the dock!

The location is simply stunning: sitting on the ICW and the owners have made it a simply great, unique experience just enjoying sitting next to the waterway. Only, very minor, negative is that the Inn is located just off the busy Hwy24 BUT you are not aware/do not hear the noise once you get onto the property. I don’t like to take my car when I go out to eat/have a drink in the evening and took a short 1 mile walk to Swansboro: very cute little town with lot’s of good choices to eat & drink.

Fabulous views with many small carefully thought of details that made the stay exceptional.

Location was nice. Away from congestion, but a short 5 minute drive either way to more populated areas for dining.

The people were so kind and helpful with local recommendations. Location was great, and though we didn’t have time, boats are available to rent right onsite to explore local islands and waterways. Will definitely do that next time!

Waterway Inn is an old school little motel right on the Intercostal waterway. The owners were very nice and helpful, the window of my room looked right out onto the waterway and I could lie in bed and watched the boats (and a couple of dolphins!) go by. The room was very clean and the bed was quite comfortable. The room was very small as was the bathroom. It was fine for me as a single traveler who was visiting friends, so I didn't spend much time in the room. If I was going to be there any amount of time, it might have been too confining.

This is our third time staying here and we plan on returning. Its in a great location. Its always so nice and clean. The owners and really nice people who always make you feel at home. Nothing.

Cozy,friendliness, it was amazing, I celebrated my 72 birthday, other guests were amazing, just loved it.
