Absolutely nothing! The place was an absolute disaster. I was just looking for a place to stay for two nights since there was an issue with my apartment and I had to find something last minute. First they could not find my reservation meaning I had to sit in a really stuffy lobby with a giant cockroach running around my legs. After the reservation was finally dealt with it was time to get disappointed by the room. I was on the first floor and there the apartments have big glass windows for the entire front from floor to ceiling, but the curtains dont fully cover them so you can just kinda look into the apartment from the outside where people walk by. Then everything about that room was horribly dirty. the shower was moldy, the toilet seat was still up as if someone had just taken a leek, there were shoe prints all over the floor and in the fridge was still all kinds of leftovers from the last tenants like milk packets and a half finished bubble tea. and it smelled horribly musky. the bed was hard as a rock and i was really cold all night given the tiny blankets provided. I checked out in the morning and decided id rather lose the money on the second night than stay another minute at this place. When checking out the receptionist barely spoke any English and it was hard to even get across that the room was dirty. Truly an awful experience.

the location is a bit far from city although there is a bus station near at the hotel and train station is walkable the carpet smells bad and old, better if it will be replaced.

Garden Lodge Sydney is a solid budget-friendly option in Sydney’s Inner West, located in Haberfield. The hotel offered clean comfortable rooms with essentials like air conditioning and Wi-Fi. Overall, it’s a budget-oriented stay that generally delivers basic comfort and a decent location. Staff are also lovely and very helpful. There can be heard noise from the busy road and neighbouring rooms, no complimentary water like other hotels in this in similar price ranges and tea and coffee facilities are below average. These can all be overlooked with the comfy bed!

Nothing really, you get what you pay for

Great location. Checking in was a pleasure and the woman at the counter was warm and welcoming. We have stayed here a few times before and have always been happy till room 116. The room was split into two rooms, the entry room had no windows with a lounge and a 2 seater table only. No art no microwave. The bedroom was facing the main road a bit dates but adequate. We will book here again because it’s usually been pleasant, its a good location for us and the other rooms are nice

The property was very convenient to all transport - bus, train, light rail and Parramatta Rd to drive. Heaps of common space in the courtyard, and staff were very helpful. Seven 11 next door also super handy for late night stops, as we had 3 returns past midnight while attending concerts. Only that the drain in the shower was partially blocked and soaked the floor if not watching.

We travelled separately and the staff were quite rude about us wanting to park 2 cars on the property. Needless to say, one car was parked on a nearby street.

Good value for money, a spa bath was a nice bonus. The air in the room was quite stale and running the A/C didn't help. It needs better ventilation.
-
Liked the room, it was roomy (sorry for the pun) and a good size bathroom Bed wasnt that comfortable for me but it was OK.
-
I wasn't aware that we wouldn't have the room serviced everyday, and that we needed to ask prior to 9am if we wanted it done. This was a bit disappointing, as what I enjoy about staying in a motel is the fresh towels and beds made.
-
This was a very well located motel for what I needed and was better than I expected for the price. very clean and comfortable with great check in staff and convenient and secure parking. The room had everything I needed and the bed was pretty comfortable. Its a short walk to Summer hill shops where there are great cafes, restaurants and pub. Its a busy road out the front but I didn't hear road noise where I was. No issues, great value.

Clean. Sockets need to be international, at least one for those who arrived at night and had a long trip, as it is a hotel. I could not charge my phone the first night. Then i bought transfer and charged my mob. But hotel should be ready for charging devices for travegller's

Quite basic. No private kitchen facility (no sink).
-
No doona and very hard pillows

The family room is big enough to accommodate a family of five. The staffs are friendly and accommodating. Wish there are more washers and dryers but the one they have is complimentary.

Needs more cleaning

Property had a seating area, cooking facilities and near tram, buses and trains Bedbugs in room. Found property reluctant to carry out housekeeping during stays. Often no receptionist at reception. Did not feel like a 3 star hotel but more like a 1 star hotel.

Easy location, value for money Can hear lots of noise from the road and other rooms
