Excellent location near many public transport areas and a wide variety of dining options. I was in town for a brief amount of time and was really looking to explore as much as possible around Sydney and this was the perfect location to do so.

The location is good. It is not far from the city center and is right next to the bus station. The room itself is just "okay." Internet speed in room 2 is very good. No noise observed. We stayed at this hotel from 14/05/2026 to 17/05/2026. Room 2. Despite a very good first impression after a short morning chat with a man and woman (who seemed to be the owners), the rest of our experience was very disappointing. 1) Cockroaches in the room On 15/05, when we returned to the hotel, we found two cockroaches, including one inside our bed. We killed one and reported it to the owner, but the second one scurried away somewhere in the room. Over the next three days, the owners offered no apologies, took no action, and made no effort to resolve or prevent the issue. Their only "recommendation" was for us to leave our rubbish outside the room so they could clear it (even though we had absolutely zero rubbish in the room). We have lived in Asia for four years, and this is our first time experiencing this in a hotel. Even though we understand pests might be considered "normal" in an older building on the second floor, we still expected a formal apology and some basic action to solve the problem. 2) Unnecessary disturbances If it weren't for the first issue, I probably wouldn't even mention this and the following point. We arrived very late after our flight; there is no need to bang on the door at 9:30 AM and wake up your guests. 3) Cleanliness issues Overall, the room looked clean but felt nasty. There was a bad smell coming from the bathroom, and we found stains on the "clean" towels. The owners often state in their review replies that "you get what you pay for." However, I should point out that just a couple of stations away, you can book a one-year-old excellent hotel for a cheaper price. Where we stay after staying here.

Great location, great value for the location as well. Staff was responsive. Room had working AC and good hot water. Check-in/check-out was easy enough. Room was quiet too. Overall, I very much recommend this place for one person that needs an efficient place to stay for a quick visit to Sydney. The wifi was very poor and mostly unusable, especially for my room at the far end of the hallway. It's such a pity because this is a relatively easy fix for the property, but they choose to cut corners and use cheap wifi network extenders that don't work, instead of getting a properly sized wifi system. Only one towel was provided, and I stayed during some humid weather so the one bath towel wasn't dry by the next time I needed to use it. These seem like small problems -and they are- but they are also easily fixed problem. All that said, I still think the positive aspects outweigh the negative aspects.

Location in a quiet neighborhood within a short distance of Kings Cross train station, with easy access to key points of the city. Clear and simple check-in and checkout procedures. No complaints really

Location - around 5-minute walk to Kings Cross train station, and local bus stops. Close to supermarkets, fast food, and restaurants. Has a really nice cafe just below the property. They offered sunscreen lotions at the lobby for everyone to use during a sunny day. No elevator. It might be tricky if bringing heavy baggage. Internet is sometimes slow or malfunctions.

Great location, super comfy and quiet. George and his staff are lovely. Direction to self check-in are super clear. Highly recommand There is a window in the room but no view (there is a wall in front of the window). Not a big deal but thought it would be important to mention

I thought the place was perfect for a single traveler. Efficient, clean, safe, well-located in Kings Cross for lots of restaurants, bars, nightlife. I walked to most of the prominent CBD sights and sites in Sydney (Opera House, Botanical Garden, Chinatown, museums, waterfront, etc. Although I tend to walk more than most people.) I arrived at night and was a little unclear about the location. However, I arrived OK, and entry process was explained well enough and implemented just fine. Bathroom and "kitchen" (fridge, kettle, etc.) were good. I would definitely recommend it to anyone and stay here again. The room is small, but that was what I needed. So, no real complaints. I couldn't get the shades to work properly due to problems with the cords. I'd add "25 meters from the intersection with Ward Street" in the location memo.

The hosts were great and gave us advice on great places to go see. The room & location was perfect. It would have been 10/10 but the shower had low velocity and a mixer instead of playing around with 2 taps would be better. Otherwise excellent!

Location The host was not nice. The room was damp.
-
Very clean, strategic location, easy access to restaurants and supermarket, the owner also very friendly, we had a great stay!
-
Small and pricey for facilities and location. Needed a physical key to enter and only one key was provided.
-
Clean and well arranged Rom doesn’t have ventilation or windows, so a food smell seemingly frying fish from outside would fill the room with no way to escape .
-
Location. Communication with staff. Pretty small. Not that it mattered to me, but I don’t remember seeing anywhere that it is not handicap accessible.

The property was in a great location in a trendy area. The room was clean and was perfect for our needs. The staff was personable and very helpful. Great value for the money.

Everything N.A

No bathing soap Heating TV fuzzy

Good location near bus stop and less than 10 minutes to metro. Poor wi-fi, not sufficient to work on laptop especially evenings when more people connect. Also, luggage rack would be helpful to avoid keeping suitcases on the floor since it is not permitted to put them on wardrobe furniture (too heavy).
