I did specify a late check in and got to the hotel and there was no one on reception and the name my booking was under was incorrect. So that was a bit tricky. I had to call the emergency line to get someone to sort it out.

Great location within walking distance from Kings Cross station. The hotel is in a beautifully restored building that is very welcooming as soon as one arrives. Staff were friendly, courteous & helpful when checking in & out. The room itself was large enough for two people with comfortable bed, good wifi and a good bathroom. Waling distance to everything the area has to offer. The bathroom itself while good, required a couple of stairs to enter. This the required a slight maneouvre to open the shower door itself. Understand why is has been designed this way however it felt a little awkward entering or leaving the bathroom itself.

The tiling around the floor wastes in the bathroom was pretty rough and could injure someone's foot. The bathroom door squeaked and took a bit of force to open. Removing the door closer would be helpful in keeping the door open - it's a very small space.

Friendly staff, comfy beds Bathroom was cold
-
Location, price and the the facade Just no bathroom slippers but it’s fine.
-
The cockroach that ran under the bed when I entered the room. But I suppose that could happen anywhere.
-
My room was on the ground floor and on the exterior of the hotel, there was noise and rain during my stay. Not ideal

Staff, the building’s beautiful and the little touches in reception were great. The value for such a great area

A little awkward to plug in lamp and electric jug
-
Quiet and comfortable Room had low ceiling

Location. View of city from top floor. Staff - helped change booking and were really friendly. Late checkout. Nice facade. Small room and bathroom. Bed sloped and I could feel the springs. Carpet remained quite dirty after vacuuming. Not many amenities.

Location, beautiful property , adequate facilities Baggage storage We were on outside - very noisy , night and early morning , beyond their control, just annoying when trying to sleep

Loved the tree lined neighborhood location and hotel’s boutique feel. Near coffee shops, bakeries and a grocery store. Staff were friendly and helpful. Room was on the smaller side.

I have stayed at the Challis many times, it's my favourite place to stay in Sydney. I liked it all
-
They close the door at 8pm they dont have anyone physically there after 8pm until opening. They coffee is locked until they open the front desk again which is a little unpractical

I really like Potts Point, although it's not in the heart of the city...a plus for me. Very friendly, great restaurants, walkable to downtown. Love the coffee in the common area and the wonderful verandah where I often chatted with other guests. And I appreciate the elevator! I liked everything. Just be aware that you will need to negotiate a few steps.

Room and reception staff helpful as always. Reception were helpful with a late checkout to accommodate a business meeting.
