Candlewood Suites - Syracuse Airport by IHG

Room was great, but the kitchen part had no pans, dishes, cups or silverware. Also they charge for laundry here which is a first ive seen a candewood do.

Clean and quiet space, but there was literally one bowl in the kitchennette, no silverware or glasses. Also I called 24hrs in advance to reserve shuttle space and they told me to do it when I checked in. Didn’t say anything about how limited the space would be (space for one family.) When I asked upon check in, the only shuttle that would get me to the airport early enough for a 4:10am bag drop off was full. After first insisting that the staff member I spoke to couldn’t have made a mistake and I must be hard of hearing, they recanted and offered to get me at 3:50am which was SO kind, and I said as much. But then when the driver picked me up - on time - he saw me with four suitcases and a toddler, on my own, and the only thing he could say was “hurry up.”

Room was not ready , waited over 2 hours a to check in when I was there on time , they tried to give me a room that was their personal storage room it was a complete disaster!

Nice staff. Great location next to SYR.

Quiet. Close to airport. Walking distance to several retail/fast food stores.

In our room, there was no hand soap and the room was next to a room that was wide open and not kept well. We know that there was renovation; however, it wasn't kept well. We were disappointed in our room overall.

Convenient to I90 Staff friendly and helpful They were renovating and not really set up properly yet - front entrance was blocked - kitchenette had no plates, etc. pantry store was not stocked. The mattress in our room sagged so bad was barely functional

Was all new and up dated. They said we could leave our car for extended stay. But they wanted me to leave my keys. So no I did not. We ended up changing our plans at 6:00 am in the morning.

When we were ready to check out the exit was blocked due to construction. I had someone with me that had mobility issues. We had to leave other way. They gave us a wheelchair that help but I pay over 600 dollars for the visit . We were there because of medical appointments for my daughter that is a cancer and blood disorder survivor. It would have been nice if they notified us in advance before they did construction on the front door.

The water pressure in the sink needs to be turned up a little in the bathroom sink. The shower would not close my daughter had to hold it close so the water didn't get all over the place. Also needed more plates and silverware and cookware to fix food on the stovetop.

The room was clean but the renovations are much needed in the common areas. The common areas need work.

The hotel is under construction. My room was remodeled, but there were no dishes or silverware. Most of the staff was friendly, but one of them always seemed confused and when I asked for anything, she looked at me with a puzzled look on her face. Not sure if it is a language barrier, but the rest of the staff was great. This will be nice when it is completed...

The room was nice, clean and newly renovated. I appreciated the ability to open a window and it was quiet. However, the hotel was terribly disorganized, probably due to ongoing renovations; couldn't even find a spoon (I waited 20 minutes and was finally told they couldn't find one). In the morning the shuttle driver didn't know where the van had been parked, so he had to wander around looking until he found it. He did find it and I got to the airport in plenty of time (the three minute drive is very convenient) but it was a bit anxious-making. The staff were all very nice and I don't blame them for these issues, which may be temporary. I would stay there again if the price remains reasonable (if they jack it up after the renovations are done, I won't.)

Construction goi g on, debris every where. People from the street walking in and begging me for mo ey at the cou ter while I was checking in shows me there is zero security. Not clean. Nothing provided to be able to use the kitchenette that I paid to be able to use. Just not good all around d

Hotel room smelled of smoke and was a bit dank. The bathroom was updated and things seemed clean. Staff was very helpful and pleasant and shuttle to airport was easy.
