The rooms are very large as well as the gym, although with less equipment. Breakfast buffet is decent with standard Chinese ingredients. Coffee was unexpectedly good. Restaurant has a strange opening times and concept. Dinner is served only until 19:30 and no alcoholic drinks, such as wine are served. These can be obtained from the bar, which is located within the restaurant, but which is closed until 21:00. Location is quite good but due to the lack of public transportation, especially a subway network, the air quality tends to be very bad. There are also almost no sidewalks for pedestrians and getting around the city is basically only possible with a car/taxi.

Because of the pouring rain, the swimming pool didn't opened, but there's no any compensation about that. Breakfast tastes really bad.

Breakfast included with booking - mostly local dishes which was ideal and decent variety. Large room size. Good pool facilities: towels, swimsuit dryer, lockers. Hotel is very far from train station, so can be difficult to get around without car/taxi.

The Personell was amazing. Ona even went to the next-door 7-11 with me to facilitate my ticket purchase for the HSR to the airport! They researched and made sure the taxi service fit my needs. Thank you again! :)

Very Rude and unhelpful stuff. Impossible to ask for a late check out without paying 500 TB per hour. We were traveling with a baby and asked for to delay our check out in 30 min. The stuff didn’t care, they just said it will cost 500 TB and didn’t even try to help us. First time we encountered such a rude behavior from any hotel stuff . Service -

I have stayed in Inhouse Taichung before (without the Grand) and so I decided to book Inhouse Grand this time to see what the differences were. Sure enough, it was a little pricier than Inhouse Taichung but I would say it was worth every penny. Compared to Inhouse Taichung, Inhouse Grand Taichung boasts a larger variety of amenities, including a fully equipped gym as well as a swimming pool. Their breakfast selection was also great, and there were dishes fit for everyone in the family. Location wise, it was also a 15 minute walk to one of Taichung's more reputable night markets, Yizhong Street night market, so getting food nearby was never an issue. The room was also large and comfortable with an amazing toilet that boasts a heated toilet bowl seat! If I were to nitpick, I'd say the restaurant staff could've been a little friendlier and more professional. I understand some of them start their shifts early in the morning but you'd have to maintain a friendly attitude if you're in the service line. Some of them were working with a fringe curler still in their hair, etc. Other than that, everything else was great, and my family and I had an amazing stay with the hotel.

The workout gym had a bad smell. The swimming pool was not heated. The breakfast could've offered a couple more basic items like bacon and scrambled eggs.

the rooms are spacious; and there is an underground parking garage. and breakfast buffet was decent. in spite of the sustainability changes instituted recently, the hotel staff still provided us toothbrushes and toothpaste as we travelled without bringing any of our own. there is also nearby family mart and 7 Eleven marts nearby for emergency purchases and for ATM withdrawals. underground parking garage is behind the hotel on another road 光大街。 we were told that the hotel will be cutting back on providing amenities like toothbrushes and tooth paste as part of sustainability efforts.

The only con I could mention is the bathroom lighting isn’t great for make up. I struggled to put contacts in because it was just dark with lots of shadows.
