Military 75 Hotel

The bed was comfortable. That's truly it. Noise was by far the biggest issue during my stay. The lack of sound insulation meant I could hear showers, toilets, conversations, and late-night activity as if it were happening in my own room. This made it nearly impossible to rest, even with earplugs.

Super clean rooms with a modern design. Amenities like towels, beauty products catered for. The staff at the counter were really friendly and helpful, and the foyer area was bustling with people just hanging out, which gave the hotel a busy, fun vibe. Free water and ability to refill water at the water machine downstairs. Elevator. Great location for exploring the cool older/downtown areas of Taichung. Free bikes — though we didn’t take advantage of them, it was cool they were offered. No hooks in the bathroom for hanging things, and only two thin pillows rather than four on the bed. Two pillows isn’t really enough for a couple. Also, the soundproofing is quite minimal and you can really hear what’s going on outside the room and in nearby rooms. We chose Run of House and ended up in a room with no window. It would have been nice to have the option for brighter main lighting in this windowless room since you don’t get any natural sunlight. There was no option to share your phone screen with the TV. Finally, it would be great to have a vegan option for breakfast — we chose the no-breakfast option because of this.

The room was spacious and very comfortable and the staff were very helpful. The hotel was a comfortable base from which we could explore taichung. Nearest bus stop is about a 5 to 10min walk from the hotel.

Easy to check in and not far from the train station (by taxi its about NT$ 125) although its not centrally located.

The room is spacious, and there’s a convenience store just next door within walking distance. There are also several nice massage parlors nearby, great for a family experience. The staff are courteous and gave us a warm welcome upon arrival. The hotel is conveniently located near one of the night markets, adding to its charm. However, while the room was clean (as it should be), I feel that room cleaning should be a default service. It would be better if guests could opt out of cleaning if they don’t need it, rather than having to opt in."

Spacious room; friendly staff; nice overall style and common spaces; good WiFi; breakfast good but limited selection. Temperature setting in the room, without windows; LED of the air conditioner couldn’t be turned off at night, being very bright.

Check-in and checkout was swift. Staff attended to us even when near midnight, they was gracious and attentive. Informed us of the lack of rooms left and could only assign us to the rooms remaining, hence unable to fulfil request. Bed was comfortable. Cleanliness of the room not up to par. There were many ants in my room; on the dressing table, on the bedside table, along the walls. I had to put my bag on my bed for fear of ants going in. The floor was sticky and the flooring was peeling off. The showerhead was broken and the water was just dribbling out of the broken connection.

Children friendly :) Basement is their favourite place to eat and gather. Very cosy. Room is clean just that walls are very thin . Thin walls and near hospital so quite often loud sirens .
