The Galerie Hotel

I stayed at this hotel for one night, and unfortunately, the experience was quite disappointing. The facilities are very outdated, and the overall condition of the room was not well maintained. The wallpaper was dirty and peeling in several areas, and the sofa was damaged, with pieces of ceiling paint falling onto it. In addition, there was a very unpleasant smell coming from one of the ceiling pipes in the morning. It resembled a strong sewage or toilet odor, which made the stay even more uncomfortable. Considering the price I paid (around 2,943 NTD per night), I do not feel that this hotel offers good value for money. I was quite surprised, as it is advertised as a 4-star hotel, but the overall condition and experience did not meet that standard at all.

Location was good for my work and for grocery shopping. When I noticed that the room smells smoky, the staff offered to change my room immediately. I didn't have time for it. They went to sanitize my room instead. It was very poorly maintained and very broken , very dirty. See photos. I don't understand why they allow the board under the sink rot so much without fixing it and still rent it out. The damage takes time, which means this room has been rent out for guests for a while under a very broken condition. The grime under the shower handle was thick. This also takes time to accumulate, which means room cleaning has been a concern for a while. The dust on the cable behind the TV set and on the platform by the bed shows that well. I don't know if that was only my room which wasn't maintained or the management of this hotel is poor af.

At first they refused parking when we called ( even though the website says free parking ) after I went to the counter and asked for a free parking space since around their hotel is no place or too expensive to park.

It was convenient to walk to places from the location. The staff were courteous and nice especially when it came to fixing the faulty toilet seat. The property was slightly old and in the midst of a revamp.

location is closed to Funchia night market The room is not in a hotel; it is in a building where regular residents also rent or live. Although it was advertised with parking, all spaces are fully reserved by the residents. The air-conditioner makes strange noises after 2–3 hours of use, requiring it to be turned off for 30 minutes before restarting.

Room is big. Hotel location is good. Old and dated property. Although stated as non smoking hotel, the corridors smell of cigarette smoke throughout the entire stay. Housekeeping is very poor. No safe provided in our room although other rooms have. No shampoo in the bath, only body wash was provided.

It was quite convenient. Though they upgraded my room, but it was a corner room and frankly has smell so need to air. The carpet was also not very clean. And worst there is a “pad” stick to the ceiling, guess there was leaking.

Pillow is not comfortable

This place I used to come a lot! It’s close to the night market, and there’s a ton of space Sound from the windows at night were loud. Also upstairs as well! Room was super dusty…

Place is accessible and the price is worth it. Late check-in at 4 PM.

The location nearby the night market, easy check in procedure Hygiene, cleanliness and poor management. -hair around the floor and stains since enter the room -empty body wash with no refills, no ones refill after report to the receptionist in the morning, need to go down the second time to remind the staff in the night -No AC for two nights, first night being move to the next room for a sleepover, no maintenance fixed after the night, second night same problem, receptionist bring us a fan due to full house. Solution from them: one nights refund

No frills hotel with sufficient basic amenities for good night’s rest. The self check in was seamless, with helpful staff giving some guidance. Location was quite good with petrol station, mcdonalds & starbucks nearby. 7-11 just a short walk away. Room is larger than the usual. The photos of the room was really good and the actual room was just slightly below expectation as shown in the photo. There were some smell of smoke throughout our stay. However, it did not deter us from having restful sleep and enjoy the comfort of the stay.
