The air conditioner didn't function properly. We need to wait for more than 1 hour to have air conditioning. The room is too small, not the size as stated in the booking. The towels are smelly.

Great and helpful staff members.

Good price. Good staff. Clean room. Comfortable bed. Traffic noise from the street was really bad. I thought the windows in the bathroom were open, it was so loud. But they were closed.

"Baggage storage" is not available after check-out, which defeated the purpose, especially when the alternatives are pretty bad. No soap for washing hands, which is not something travelers usually bring with themselves.

Location near train station

The hotel is in an older building. Our room was small without a closet. Early check-in cannot be compromised. When we booked, the check-in time was listed as 3:00 p.m. After confirming, I received an email notifying us that it had been moved to 4:00 p.m. due to a holiday.

The room was nice, also very good location. However we could hear the neighbouring rooms talking and showering, woke me up in the night few times, but I’m also a light sleeper.

10 Minutes walk to the train station

Quite noisy as the wall/ door is thin. Loud sound when people walking/ chitchatting/ maid vacuuming at the corridor. We couldn't sleep and rest well. The shower door cannot close properly thus the whole bathroom floor got wet when showering. Pillow is too soft and thin. The only plus is the location is only 10-min walk from Taichung station.

Good location and comfortable beds. This was by far the worst experience I’ve had in Taiwan. Let me explain. First, most of the perfect 10 reviews for this hotel seem to be incentivized. They offer guests NT100 to leave a perfect score on Booking.com. There are notifications about this in the reception area, the elevator, and even in the rooms next to the beds. When we arrived around 11 AM, they offered us early check-in if we agreed to give them a 10 rating. We declined because we wanted to see the room first. They still allowed us to leave our luggage in the room and gave us the keys, which we appreciated, but we couldn't use the room until the check-in time. Later that night, when we returned to the room, we discovered the bathroom was not cleaned at all. The toilet had faecal remains and blood on it, and the sink, shower, and door were visibly dirty. I immediately contacted customer service, but they said there were no other rooms available. They offered to send someone to clean, but we were already out buying disinfectant since we didn’t trust the situation anymore. When I told them we don't want anybody in the room without us being there, they said they couldn’t wait for us. Ultimately, we cleaned the bathroom ourselves. I requested a refund for the cleaning supplies (NT79) and compensation for the experience. The manager falsely claimed that Booking.com was responsible for calculating any refunds. They only refunded NT200 of the NT2599—barely covering the cost of the cleaner and completely ignoring the inconvenience and frustration. When I followed up with the hotel again, I received a reply consisting of just a single ".". Booking.com hasn’t responded to my complaint at all. If you like cleaning after someone else for the great deal of $3.50, this might be the place for you. Otherwise, stay far away from this hotel. On top of everything, the hotel is extremely noisy—you can hear everything happening around you, making it difficult to rest.

24 hours self-check in machine Facilities is very bad and it is not worth for the price. The front counter only allow us to keep our luggage until 2pm since SHE IS WORKER HERE AS WELL

Very good

The location. A pity this hotel publishes deceiving info on the booking site, because the room is quite big, well decorated and has plenty of hot water and power plugs. BUT... We booked the room because it had city views. We don't like prison cells, so we always take rooms with windows. And we got the room we booked. And the room had indeed two big windows, but then you open them and the wall of the building next door is the only thing you see, so close that if you stick the head out of the window you touch it with your nose. No idea if it is day or night, sunny or rainy. Do check the images I attach of the two windows and see by yourself what this hotel considers to be "City Views". Additionally, Wifi is quiet erratic, walls are thin, they do not keep your luggage after check out, and plumbing is pretty noisy.

The location. The room is reek of smoking smell. The hair dryer is those that attached in the bathroom and inefficient. The staff particularly reminded us to check out by 12pm. The hotel is just next to main street so at night the traffic noise is unavoidable.
