Hamilton Hotel

Location was great. Room was clean. Staff was nice. Air conditioning was weak. Clearly under renovations, loud drilling throughout the day. Pretty run down in areas with water damage. No shower curtain or had soap in room.

Nothing, I checked in and left a few hours later. The location was good The room was insanely hot and smelly. The floors were not vacuumed and there was hair in the bathtub. The photos made it seem like the hotel was much nicer

Location is good and it's not expensive. My stay was perfectly adequate. It's very close to a park with exercise facilities, and it's a strong 10-15 minute walk from the subway, so you can take a train then the subway and walk from there if traveling around the island. The hotel is old and the corridors and room were very tired looking. The condition was actually okay - the wallpaper wasn't peeling off or anything. I'm confused where the photos on booking.com come from, perhaps they have renovated some rooms already? The later photos show a more true-to-life version of the room I stayed in.

Location Check in service, the lady has never leaved her chair and instructed me to check-in in the automated machine. No greeting, no introducing of amenities in the office. If it is a total automated hotel, then the posted instructions and greeting shall be place clearly and attractively.

Unfortunately I cut my stay short, leaving immediately after checking in. The condition of the room was terrible, with mold in the bathroom. The staff could not speak english, the hotel was very outdated, the room was in a terrible condition, with mold in the bathroom. I’ve asked for a full refund and it was also complicated at first to have the proper support from Booking Customer service. This hotel should not have « good » as general comment on the platform.

Old hotel. You can see its age. Has everything you need for a decent stay. Can’t beat the price. Similar prices get you backpacking accommodations. At least h here it feels more like a hotel. Noisy neighbors.

The design of the guest room was quite stylish. The hallway and reception area were elegant and relaxing. Something unsafe: in room 804, the grounding prong for the plug on the tea kettle had been cut off. This is quite hazardous. There was no shower curtain to keep the rest of the bathroom dry when one takes a shower. And the bathroom vanity and sink were much lower than standard. Other items may be superficial, but were noticeable: wallpaper peeling away from the walls near the entry, chipped finish on the faux-wood frame of the television, a mess of wires sticking out below the TV...

The sink leaked and caused the bathroom floor wet.

Nothing. I left the same night I couldn’t stay there It smelt of mold sewage and smoke. There was damage to the walls. Our key card didn’t work and we had to wait 20 minutes and make 2 phone calls to get it fixed

Good location, that’s about it. Old and rundown, mattress was really firm and uncomfortable. The place was in rough shape. There was a reason it was so cheap. Definitely wasn’t as nice as the photos.

Disappointing

Location is quite close to Taichung HSR station. The room is quite decent despite looking a little old. And the staff is responsive and provided good service when i needed it. Only lack of shower curtains in the bathroom as there is a bathtub and the water pressure is powerful. Beds a little to hard for my liking but able to sleep well.

Location is great. Check in and out was very convenient. Room very spacious and nice view. Beds firm but comfortable. The bathroom needs to be updated. The toilet was running and wouldn't flush, which is unfortunate with family of 4. We could only use the bath as the shower option wasn't working.
