Le Méridien Taichung

Staff at the reception and concierge are nice, however THE WORST at breakfast. At 10am they chased us out very rudely and gave us a timer to leave in 5 minutes. Never experienced that in a 5 star hotel or any hotel.

This hotel located at a walk-in distance from train station. We can drop-off our luggage and start exploring city immediately. We rent 2 queen bed room, the room size is bigger than we thought (good). Hotel provided 6 bottles of water every day, which is extremely helpful for tourism in hot season.

The room was spacious. The bed and pillows were very comfortable. The daily breakfast offered wide variety of food. The room with all the black glass wall took me a while to get used to. But it might look attractive to other people.

Concierge Cash and Jonathan were friendly and helpful. The safety box were outdated and we couldn’t lock and after they fixed we could not open it and had to call for service again. It caused inconvenience and stress when we had appointments but needed to wait for them to open the lock so we could get our belongings.

Nothing Everything. Cold, dark (black) rooms. Staff had no personality.

Wow where do I start? From the greeting at the entrance from opening our door and helping unload our bags to checking in at the front desk was very pleasing. The decor was top tier and it smelled so refreshing. The rooms were satisfactory with clean towels and emaculate presentation. We ordered room service and the staff were so nice and greeted us with a smile. The day of check out the staff agreed to store our luggage while we explored a little before heading back to Taipei which was very nice

Our room (#903) with two queen beds was very large, with comfortable mattresses, nice lighting and a spacious bathroom that had separate sections for the toilet, shower and bathtub. The staff was friendly and efficient and the location right by the train station was convenient. There were a few spots in our bathroom that could be cleaned a bit better - the mirror and the shower seemed to have been a bit neglected. The elevators were a bit smelly, which was strange because the lobby smelled so nice. You could also hear some water/plumbing noises from the next room when the shower or bathtub was being used.

Staff were very welcoming. I arrived early and the room was not ready. They sent me an email as soon it was finished. I liked this gesture. Staff were quick to respond to all requests. The room decoration is amazing. Room size is perfect with all what you need The fridge was making a loud noise. They changed it with the same issue. I had to switch it iff and not use it the fridge. The pillows are very hard even when i requested a aofter one. The bed is the same. This is a personal preference but they dont have better pillows tonaccomodate dofferent people.
