Everything was perfect. They have the kindest staff ever. If you don’t have any clue about Tainan or Taiwan, just book your stay at DongNing and they will give you detailed tour tips with everything you need. I truly felt at home during my stay. They talk to you like family. I really enjoyed my time there and will definitely come back.

The staff were informative and friendly, the beds were clean and facilities were clean but the shared space is quite cluttered. The property was fine, however it was the other tenants that were a bit of a challenge. It seemed like sometimes the homeless use the facilities to get a bed and shower, they were friendly and harmless but they were shifting about the room, walking in between the bunks and murmuring to themselves all throughout the night making it hard to sleep and rest. While it’s a cheap way to be off the streets and get clean a bit, it wasn’t very nice to the staying in the same dorm with them. And that is what happens if you stay in a shared dorm, the chance of meeting people with different habits, either you get along or don’t, and this time was a bit tiresome.

- Unbeatable location; very convenient - parking available nearby and was reimbursed for up to 12 hours ($240 NTD) - friendly staff - not enough counter space in the room; only one table, a few stools and 2 chairs. With a room for up to 4 people, there is nowhere to place anything except on the floor and we had to electronics and toiletries on the very limited counter space - definitely was a challenge - cleanliness wasn’t the greatest- bed sheets looks a bit yellowish on some parts - bathroom is very dated -

I loved the staff, very sweet and helpful. Recommended where to go for eating and asked about my day, made me feel very welcome. Location is great, this is the area you want to be in for eating and sightseeing. Taxi from train station 100-130 TWD (not really walkable with big bag). Free bike rental. Big room, clean, confortable bed, sheets and towels provided. I will stay here if I come back and recommend this place to everyone! One of my favourite places I stayed in Taiwan! You hear some sound, from outside and inside, but honestly, this is standard for Taiwan - you won’t find a place this prize range with soundproofing.

The room was decently clean but the bathroom was full of mold.

Location was good. Walking distance to a lot of restaurants, milk tea, market. Staff are very nice. Wifi was good. Free use of bikes Building looks old, our chosen room for our family didn't have windows. They should install a shower curtain to avoid water from being all over the toilet and bath.

I had a very comfortable stay in this hostle. The room, bathroom, and the common room are all very clean and look nice. The beds are very comfy. The upper beds on the bunk bed don't have curtains around them, but the lower ones do. The bathroom is in the room and so, is convenient to access. The location is perfect and is in downtown Tainan. They don't have washing machines but there are laundromats near the hostle and they lend bicycles to guests for free. If you have a chance, chat with the owner. He's very knowledgable about Taiwan and is an entrepreneur who has creative ideas. He and his assistant helped me plan a trip in Taiwan for over an hour! I was so grateful that they took that much of their time for me. It was great talking to them.

Really lovely and welcoming place with an interesting owner who will explain you everything about the history of this marvellous place. Thanks to the hundreds of historical city maps inside the hotel you get a beautiful introduction to Taiwan and Tainan as a city and their heritage. The hostel team is nice and helpful. Just wonderful. Nothing all great.
