Local Backpacker Hostel

Nice kitties! Awesome terrace and decor. Clean facilities. Dorm room had no space to put suitcase or large bags so they were in the way/blocking the path. Not many sinks and toilets, and they were in the hallway so it was difficult to move around/get to the bedroom.

One of the highlights of my stay was the presence of three lovely cats that added a warm, homely touch to the environment. The hostel itself offers great amenities, including a sundeck, a terrace, and a peaceful courtyard where guests can relax. The dorm rooms are thoughtfully designed with curtains, ensuring privacy for each guest. The owner and her family were incredibly friendly and caring, always ready to share stories, offer suggestions, and make sure guests feel at home. The owner, who is also a knowledgeable indigo dyeing teacher, brought a unique cultural aspect to my stay, making it even more memorable. The hostel also provided tea and coffee-making equipment, along with some snacks prepared by the owner. The tiled floors and tasteful decor complemented the overall cozy atmosphere. If you're looking for a comfortable and welcoming place to stay in Tainan, this hostel is a fantastic choice.

Superb

Was just amazing. Location is superb first, very close to city’s Shennong street so as other shops and temples. Most staff are also living there and even though they speak little English, try to treat you warmly w/ heart. Both my room and common places were all clean and well organised. Offering free snack, tea and coffee was just fantastic. Shower and toilet all worked well. The bed was pretty comfy, AC was powerful and having its own outlets, lights and curtains was great. But the best thing was 3 cute cats living in the hostel I’d say. My personal favorite was a white Persian cat. She was incredibly cute and adorable haha. No Locker in a room was the only problem.

Super friendly cats are the bonus to the nice hostel.

The staff is very friendly and there are three cats! Additionally, the location is great and the facilities are too. The first hostel I’ve been to that provided skin-care products (lotion, toner, cleanser, etc). One minor thing was that my bed was at the top of the bunkbed and my locker was next to it, right at the top. The design of the set-up was a bit unhandy and difficult to get around without making too much noise in the dorm rooms.

A cosy family-run hostel that provides unbeatable, amazing customer service! Arrived very late but was still greeted by the warm-hearted receptionists and even hung out together to enjoy some local cuisine. Location is perfect as well. Surely there are plenty of accommodation options around but you can't go wrong with this! Definitely worth booking again.
