Outstandingly hospitable and helpful staff. Helped us book a moped from a discount rental next door (foreigners will need an international driving permit), and treated us to very tasty fruit. The guests were all considerate and polite, as well. Very very clean! Seems like they even clean under the mattresses between guests. Great location in West Central; walking distance to the food and artisan stores, yet quiet at night. Windows in every bedroom and bathroom, not a given for Tainan. Ours had a view of the lane, though some other rooms face a neighboring wall. Great AC, a must for Tainan. Located perpendicular to the foot of the beds, so you can run it on auto at night without making yourself sick. Great lighting in the bedroom, both for day and night use. The entryway and common space downstairs are beautiful and cozy, full of plants and light. In addition to the small desk in the bedroom, the long table in the common room seems like it would be comfortable for laptop work etc. Comfortable mattress and bedsheets. They provide room-temperature boiled water downstairs, so you don't need to constantly be boiling your own. Would have been nice to swap for a thinner pillow. Mild neck pain. Also, if the water carafes had a small pitcher spout, to help fill up water bottles without spilling. Faster WiFi would also be appreciated. But all of these minor issues are perfectly acceptable for a BnB.

Kind, very supportive owner , very clean

They went above and beyond to help us out, gave us fruit as soon as we arrived, and took us around. Lovely people and charming location! Only thing I didn't love were the beds, they were very hard. Perhaps a mattress topper would be a nice option?

My room a Zhizhu Homestay was immaculate and very big. It is easy to get to in a quiet street and close to the town highlights Chikan Tower, Grand Mazu Temple, Shennong Street, markets. It was a great place to base a trip to Tainan.

The owner was so lovely and wonderful. She was so kind and helpful. Gave us fruit and recommendations using translator. She was the best.

This homestay was amazing!! The property is situated in a quiet alley that feels extremely safe to walk though at any time of day. It’s a stone’s throw from numerous cafes, restaurants, and a 7-11 for all your convenience needs. The property and our two rooms were so clean, not a speck of dust to be found! The bed was so comfy and the comforter had us all warm throughout the night. But the gem of this place was the host! She made us feel like family, and offered us fruit and plenty of bottled water, and even walked with us to send us off! She deftly uses google translate to navigate any language barrier (and was still patient enough to allow me to practice my broken Chinese). If I could give this place an 11/10, I would, and I will definitely be staying here again next time I’m in Tainan! Everyone in Tainan is incredibly warm, and this host was no exception!

Super friendly hosts. Great location for walking to markets and attractions. Bus to Anping wasn't too far away either.

Its a perfect place to experience a local Taiwanese homestay. But if you want the full comfort of a hotel stay, this place is not for you. The host is extremely helpful and friendly and will do her best to make you comfortable. She does not speak english but her Google Translate skills are amazing. She offered to cut me fruits but since I had eaten I gently declined. Next morning she offered me locally homemade cheesecake. I even rented her scooter to go around the city which she let me have for NTD 500 for 24 hours. I was on a combined work plus business trip so I carried a huge suitcase which was difficult to carry up and down the stairs. But she was kind enough to let me have a room on the 2nd floor instead of the original 4th floor.

Really enjoyed it. The place is really clean, very convenient location, close to Guohua street and yongle market. The most important, the host is really welcoming and nice. She offered us free fruits every night.

Awesome place! The welcoming hospitality is amazing, and place is very clean and comfortable. Great central location which is walkable to any destination near the city center. Would absolutely stay here again.

The property had more of a bed and breakfast set up than a home stay- but did not provide breakfast or allow use of the kitchen. The bathrooms got very wet after a shower. Perhaps the showers could have a wraparound curtain.
