Nice clean room. Comfortable beds, a large bathroom, and a good location right next to the main bus station. I was able to add an extra night while there, which was nice. There was a nice handmade market right behind the hotel on the weekend. The check-in process was a bit annoying. The self check-in machine prints out a code for you to use to open the door, but my code wasn't working. The hotel doesn't have staff on location, you have to go to the hotel next door to get help. But they fixed the issue promptly. There is no elevator and not much of a shared space. This wasn't an issue with the hotel - but google maps was a bit confused about where the hotel is and showed it in the middle of the road.

Quiet area. The host helps me booking the ferry ticket and arrange for the diving. Thanks for the arrangement! Too bad that I missed the breakfast. Gotta stay longer next time ? None

Good location and clean room The service was not great. I wanted to rent a scooter and they couldn’t help me at all, I went to a different hotel (where I wasn’t a guest) and they helped to get more information. When I checked-in they gave me the code for the room and the door of the room was open, I went in with my stuff and the cleaning man looked at me and shouted in his language, I went out with my stuff and he threw the vacuum cleaner on the floor and went in a different room, then he went to my room, vacuum cleaned, said sorry and continued with his work. Never experienced such an strange situation. Unfortunately nobody could speak only one English word and I had the feeling they also didn’t wanted to help. In all other hotels and accommodations in Taiwan this was completely different.

Very central. Easy check in and check out. B&B - not very good for socializing with others. Bathroom was not cleaned during my stay - and there were a lot of new people joining the room.

Although the hotel I booked is self-check in, there is a front desk of hotel chain just nearby. So I can go there to ask for help or any serivce I need. They even prepare some snacks and drink in rest area. And the location is good, near the heart of Taichung city. The famous night market is just in the corner, and the beach is also not far away! If you sleep early, this hotel is not a good choice for early birds. Because the location of it is close to night market, and you can hear the sound of live musical band.

Location They didn’t inform me that my room was at the other building that do not have lift, caused me to carry all my luggages to 3rd floor. That’s tough for me and my small kids
