Everything!! Our stay was absolutely amazing!! Nothing! It was a perfect stay!
-
It is located slightly outside of the main old street - around a 10mins walk, but in a very quiet area. As a solo traveler, I found the place safe, comfortable and value for money. They provide shower amenities, and has microwave, ice vending machine. The public bath is a little small, so the changing room is often very crowded. Only one washing machine and one dryer, the queue to use it is always very long.

Great location, substantial breakfast, good value.
-
The hotel was clean, amenities were provided openly, the staff was helpful and the onsen was great. The breakfast was a little expensive.
-
In addition, the staff didn't speak a lot of English. The beds are very firm. Not the best for me personally.
-
The hotel was excellent, and I would like to express my gratitude for the exceptional level of cleanliness maintained throughout my stay. I highly recommend this property to other travelers.
-
I liked that they had a sauna. The staff patiently translated, guided, and helped me with my purchase online as I cannot read Japanese. She went out of her way and for that I am truly grateful.

I didn't like the size of the room he was pretty small

Great staff and location. Why put the washer and dryer right at the onsen entrance? People waiting for their laundry are greeted by your naked body, or you’re the one waiting for your laundry and it feels awkward being there while people strip down next to you. It’s bad for both sides. The room smelled like a wet dog when I went in. The AC blows on your bed constantly no matter what settings you use. The shower head sprays horizontally on the other side of the wall. The bidet sprays so much on the seat after using it. Overall an uncomfortable stay but bearable for short stays.
-
Real onsen, location close enough too everything yet not too central with too much people, walking distance to most of the tourist sites, staff very friendly There were lots of Taiwanese people staying and they DID NOT TAKE SHOWER before going into the onsen, I tried tell them but? I feel like maybe in Taiwan they don’t require to shower before going into onsen, please put more obvious onsen guide for those who doesn’t know,

Great climate control, very comfy bedding, solid shower. Some noise from other guest footsteps and doors.
-
It had only one laundry machine set. But they posted that they will be switching to a new system in a few weeks, so I think they are already aware and fixing the problem.
-
The location was perfectly situated in Takayama. Everything was easy to reach and in walking distance. The staff was nice and very helpful, when we had a small trouble with the washing machine. The hot spring and the bathroom facilities were neat and great to use.
-
The breakfast isn't good in my opinion.

Very solid location for Takayama! The staff were friendly and helpful, the rooms were as expected, and everything worked properly. There are great restaurants close by and the main historic/tourist district is only a few minutes walk away. Beware the rooms are very small, especially for a traveling couple. Two carry-on bags took up nearly all the floor space, and the drop-in bathroom is snug. The elevator is the prime point of congestion and it would be nice if they made more room for people waiting.

Location: Property requires all of 10 minutes walking from the bus/train station, but the route is flat and not busy. The route is dark at night though. If driving, the property is easy to find, but make sure to reserve a parking lot with the property beforehand as there are not many parking lots. Arriving by bus/train: 7/10. Driving: 8/10 Cleanliness: As clean as it gets. No complaints. 10/10 Security: The lifts require you to scan your room access card to visit the guest floors. Also, the main door of the property locked during silent hours and requires your card. 10/10 Service: The staff can speak english and were professional. They were also genuinely happy to have us! 10/10 Amenities: There is a supply of drinking water, toiletries, tea and coffee at the lobby. Laundry: There are 2 washing machines and dryers, and availability of them can be tracked by the TV in room! Coin and note changing machines are available, so no need to worry about fumbling for coins. Room layout: I understand that Japanese properties can be small, and the room size was clearly communicated, but the layout makes it impossible to open 2 suitcases simultaneously and get around. Worse still, the table and chair at the side of the room is practically impossible to use if your suitcases are open. There is a general lack of space to place your personal items. 3/10 Room features: There is a lack of space to hang up clothes in the room, especially after using the dryer. Also, there is only ONE power socket in the room. You might want to bring your own extension socket for the trip. 1/10 Property features: While there are laundry facilities provided on the property, the placement of them in the onsen changing rooms gets awkward. Instructions for the machines could be translated to other languages in more detail. In the changing rooms, we are not allowed to use our cameras, but without sufficient instructions we have no choice but to use google translate and use the camera in a place that we shouldn't. Hence it would be good if the instructions are better translated into english and other languages. 6/10

Good

Location was perfect, next to the bus station and not too far from all places to visit. The breakfast buffet was excellent, many things westerners could like but with a Japanese twist! Bigger room and better lighting would be nice. One member of the staff wasn't very kind.

It is what you look in the Photos Everything was great

Aesthetics of hotel and room; nice staff; onsen is cool with tattoos. The instant coffee was blergh, and the room could have been a bit bigger.
