Absolutely fantastic staff—friendly, helpful, efficient. Excellent facilities, esp. public baths and other public spaces. Very comfortable room. Accommodating for larger travelers. Free popsicles! I had to leave.

It was a lovely stay in general. Very unique room and more spacious then we expected. N/A

Good breakfast. Helpful staff. Convenient location. We booked a junior suite, which was roomy but felt run down in terms of the furnishings, seating, and lighting. Not a good value for the high price we paid.

The authenticity of the Ryokan.

Stunningly beautiful, great location, superlative service. Very comfortable. Was able to leave luggage before and after. Prices were a bit high but a lovely place to stay.

The ryokan is beautifully decorated, clean, and designed. We booked a suite and really liked it. There are a lot of details to be appreciated if you pay attention. We liked the public bath as well. The staff are friendly, and helpful. Can’t comment on the food as we didn’t have meals at the ryokan. Nothing

Great staff, wonderful food, convenient location

This ryokan was incredibly tourist friendly. They gave us recommendations for local specialties, maps to help find our way around, and even gave us local snacks and socks. We loved the breakfast and the location relative to the station and morning market.

Japanese style hotel, very friendly staff, Breakfast in japanese style, convenient location A bit overpriced, small hot springs

A truly. Beautiful place. So many special perspective, everywhere you looked. The beds were comfortable, the space just lovely. Service was attentive and welcoming. They went beyond. Very helpful to be allowed to check in early and leave luggage for the morning after to fit with the train schedule. A wonderful stay in a special town. Nothing

The futon beds were comfy and we slept well. Room amenities was also ample . Staff were helpful and kind We had to wear their house slippers throughout ryokan and they were not comfortable for our feet as we need support to our soles. The onsen water was noT hot enough and I wasn’t sure if the water had any therapeutic benefits. The Kaiseki was not impressive and the Hida beef offerings were very skimpy

Very traditional rooms, super friendly staff. Feels like staying at home as there are very thoughtful details everywhere.

Everything from A to Z Nothing

Perfect location from every thing. The staff was over the top amazing and helpful. The rooms pay attention to detail like no other place I have visited. Please go if you are in the area you will not regret it. Bonus is the food is outstanding and the hot soak at the end of the day is relaxing.
-
Absolutely spotless. So well-furnished and decorated. The onsen was so nice too and the bedrooms were almost mini apartments because they were so spacious. Nothing. Honestly I can think of a thing.

Hotel was great! The traditional vibes was immaculate and the traditional breakfast and dinner options was a really good experience. Staff was really friendly and explained how all the electronics and remote controls work at the start which really helped us have a comfortable stay. At the end of the stay, the staff even sent us to the bus station without us asking as it was snowing and she mentioned it would be difficult for us to drag the luggage to the bus station ?. Overall it was an amazing experience and I recommend all to stay here during your time in takayama! Nothing

This Ryokan is exceptional. So clean and well appointed. The family are so friendly and helpful. The room was exceptionally clean and comfortable. We loved our dinner in the dining room that we booked in advance. We were very fortunate to be visiting at Christmas time and the Christmas dinner had so much thought and time put into it, making it a very memorable meal and stay for our family.
