Sunset Surfhouse - Hostel

The hostel itself is really big and nice and well taken care of,you have so many activities you can do,the food is really great,the rooms are really big and comfy,all the staff were nice and chill and very welcoming.

This place was my safe haven. I spent a week here recovering from a horrible bout of food poisoning. I was incredibly comfortable here. Everything is super clean, the staff and volunteers are very friendly, and the owner and his wife went above and beyond in making me feel cared for during my stay. They had everything I needed. Highly recommend!

Amazing common areas. Owners are super friendly, as well as the ladies in the kitchen. Amazing breakfast. Place was super clean (both room and common areas including shared toilet and shower). Close to the beach (about 15 mins walk) We booked a surfing lesson through them and thought that the instructors could be more friendly

Nice family feel. But majority of the guests are on the surf packages so they leave in the morning and no one will be in the hostel till dinner which can be seen as a plus or a minus. Beautiful terrace and hard working staff and volunteers Having a curfew of midnight as an adult feels a little off. You are only able to enter with a physical key that I believe only the volunteers have. I think this could become unsafe if someone is separated or left outside, there should be a digital code activated door installed. The owner was hard to get a read on! Sometimes lovely and sue or friendly and sometimes very suspicious looking at people as if they'd stolen something!

Loved the atmosphere and chill vibes of the property.

Relaxed atmosphere with everything you could want. Book swap, guitars, drums, darts, ping pong, hammocks and opportunity to do surf/yoga classes. Attracts a great crowd and the village has enough shops/stores/cafes and beach. Nothing

Pleasant

The place was perfect and authentic. The staff was amazing. The host was warm and friendly, the surf instructors were fun and cool, the kitchen staff were top shelf ( we always came for seconds and thirds), the yoga instructor was an amazing teacher. The food was great, the activities were very engaging and fun. We visited a couple of beaches in our stay not just one. We went sandboarding and had a beach bonfire. Overall, a great experience. Everything was great. There was nothing wrong. I wouldn't have changed anything.

Leckeres vielseitiges Frühstück, angenehme Atmosphäre, tolle Terrassen, liebevolle Einrichtung, tolle Ausstattung mit Tischtennis und Dart, leckeres Abendessen dazubuchbar, nette Gäste, Personal bemüht sich sehr. Well people tried to be very nice and friendly but sometimes it seemed forced, especially one volunteer working there, tried to be nice but she made me uncomfortable. My last morning she investigated me intensivly on when I want to check out exactly, one hour before checkout time and that made me feel like there was a problem or Im doing something wrong. When I checked out she lost the key from the room and stressed me about finding it. When she found it, she didn't even apologized for causing me inconviance for her own mistake. Still made me feel like it was my mistake. It was a very good stay all in all, but check out day was not nice and gave me a bad feeling, just felt they wanted me to leave as soon as possible even so there words were different.

Staff were lovely, accommodating, lovely relaxing areas, helpful and very friendly, we had the double room with private bathroom, otherwise shared dorms. Food was excellent both breakfast and evening meal. Ok we were the ‘odd, ‘old couple’ staying as it’s basically a surfing hostel but everyone staying there was very friendly! Ok there was a little bit of work going on , improving and making another roof terrace but wasn’t an issue!

Perfect location if you want to avoid the crowd of Taghazoul, but if you are not surfing there isn't really much else to do. The staff was super friendly, special thanks to Carlos for fixing up everything for me and to Katia, for being such a patient and kind human being. And obviously all the beautiful ladies who work in the kitchen and made us the best meal you can have in all Tamraght! The rooms have pretty much no sound insulation at all, so it's impossible to sleep after 8am, but it's also true that if you wake up early you can enjoy the morning hours Apart from that really good stay

The staff was amazing, we had such a great time with Carlos, Caro and Sabrina. The dinner there was always really good, among the best food we've had in Morocco. There were also always good vegan options available. Can only recommend this place!

Everything was beyond amazing!! It was the best experience, the staff were all increddible! The surf lessons were so helpful & fun, followed by yoga in the evening which was a perfect way to end the day. We had dinner each night at the hostel & it was so delicious. Sunset Surfhouse is the perfect place for any travellers - solo or with friends. I cannot wait to come back asap.
