I canceled my room, it was dirty, the staff were rude, the pool was closed and overall very uncomfortable
-
The bed were covered in hair, the lamp shade had mold. The carpet smelt old and moldy. The pool was closed. We didn't stay, checked out as soon as we saw the room. It was terrible.
-
We couldn't cancel the stay because we wouldn't get our refund back. The cancelation date had expired.

Rooms Smells bad! AC not geeting cold
-
Mildew all over the curtains with the entire room smelling of mold & mildew. Some sort of dirty grime all over the lamps. No remote. The ac was noisy and barely functioned right. The staff was rude especially at check in.
-
Room was covered in mold, manager moved us to another room but hotel basically dirty and amenities not good or inoperable!
-
The most jarring thing was the amount of mold inside the room. There was mold on the curtains. There was mold on old food that was left in between the mattress and boxspring. The boxspring itself was dirty and was not even vacuumed. The boxspring cover had weird stains. Everything about the room was dirty. Elevators were dirty. I work at Ecolab pest elimination who services a large amount of hotels similar to this, and I thought I could see past evidence of bedbugs. Evidence that should not even be present if they were properly cleaning their linens and furniture. Within 10 minutes of walking into the room we checked out and got a hotel at another hotel.

Front staff was amazing. Very helpful. Knowledgeable of the area.
-
First of all, the directions to get there weren't clear. It was advertised as having a pool, but it wasn't in operation; the door couldn't be locked; the shampoo provided wasn't enough; and the breakfast area didn't look clean.

Started out pleasant. Couldn't find room 111 no number on it. Last night noticed rust on lamp with plug-ins to charge phone and one did not work. Stains on mattress. This morning went to take shower and water was either very cold or scalding hot no in-between. NOT to mention bugs in bathroom. Notified staff and all he had to say was we could switched rooms. I said what about next guest and he said nothing. I let him know I am reporting bugs to Health department, corporate.

Everything was nice and clean…

Pool was closed, then management lied about the circumstances.

My prepaid 3night Memorial Day stay was terrible. I traveled 5hours all the way from Dallas, TX. In my experience, No maintenance or housekeeping staff on duty after 3pm. They only gave 1 room key, room had a damp smell, bed sheets were dirty on check in, the phone didn't work, room had 2 TVs with 1 remote, the window leaked a lot of water while raining, water rolled into AC unit then to floor no maintenance on duty to address issue so front desk gave me rags to place on window, the shower head only had water from one side, the water didn't get hot, the tolite seat was broken, the bathroom door wouldn't close shut without force, the rude overnight front desk person knocked on my door 2 nights after midnight waking me without legitimate reason. The second room offered smelled bad and not cleaned. Front desk staff was not personable. Pool was closed. After speaking with manager/owner about issues, he stated "if he had those issues he would have checked out". The room was prepaid for 3 nights. The manager/owner didn't offer a discount or refund. It was a holiday weekend other hotels were fully booked or prices were very high because of the holiday. I suffered through the weekend I WILL NOT STAY AT THE COMFORT INN & SUITES TEXAS CITY I-45 AGAIN.
