Charming and beautiful! Wonderful people. Very clean room with a gorgeous view. A tiny bit of wear and tear, as expected from an old building, in the bathroom but very clean! I will stay here again.

The staff was incredibly kind and helpful. The food was the best I had on my whole trip and the location was absolute stunning. Very cozy home feel and comfy bed.

Nice meal menu, reasonable prices

Great location, staff and clean. The restaurant food was delicious and the bonfires at night were very enjoyable.

Our stay was incredible. John hosted a campfire where we shared stories and got to learn about some Albanian history. Food and beer was incredible.
-
Breakfast was underwhelming despite the food in the restaurant being delicious the evening before

I stayed in the 4 bed dorm. The beds are individual rather than bunks, which I much prefer.
-
Very small room

We lived everything about our stay - especially our host John and his family! We didn't like having to leave.

Attacked ferociously by bed bugs. I had over 50+ bites across my arms, shoulder, buttock, ankle, legs after staying here for one night. I saw the nasty bedbugs when I woke up in the middle of the night from the extreme loud noises. The second awful thing is that there is zero noise isolation whatsoever. We heard everyone stomping around from 10pm into 4am. It was awful. We got sleep in 30 minute increments. Would absolutely not recommend before your big hike to Valbona. Plus the location is as far as you can get from the trial head. Very unnecessary. If I could report this accommodation for bad sanitation due to Bed Bugs, I would

The best location to start your hikes. Very good restaurant, and breakfast. The bathroom is too small and it is supposed to serve up to 6 people. The WiFi is very bad, only works outside. For me it’s overpriced.

The surroundings!! Loved the stone and original wood ceiling in our room, new updated bathroom. They have done a lot of work to preserve the charm. We had an exceptional bottle of local red wine from 2012 at a very good price. The staff made us a delicious meze plate at a late hour and we so appreciated it. There were no hooks or hanging rods for towels or clothes only a few little screws. A chair would be a nice addition. Thankfully, there was a bed where we could lay our suitcases. My main issue was one of the staff refused to give me a cup of ice on 2 occasions and said they had an electrical problem and there was no ice. I waited a couple minutes and asked another staff member and they gladly gave me two large cups of ice. We thought this was odd..

We arrived here after 40 hours of travel. We were exhausted and a little overwhelmed. The hosts welcomed us with a shot of Raki and (eventually) and excellent meal. It was a small family place almost next to the old Theth Church. This was beautiful at sunrise and sunset. We were able to drink water from the spring with no problem. The food was very good. Our room over looked the inside dining room and we had to close our window to get dressed. People were visiting in the dining room until maybe 10:30 dishes were being cleaned up. Not a big deal but we were very tired. It is a great place to spend a night and the crowd was very safe (no worries about your stuff being stolen or someone coming in your room. This place has the Albanian shower where the entire bathroom is the shower. Just take what you want to keep dry out of the bathroom.

Beautiful location and scenery. Outside of town for a quiet atmosphere.
-
The bathroom was a bit small and could be better.
-
If you're ordering a sandwich to be prepared the night before a hike as a packed lunch, be sure to confirm where and when this sandwich will be waiting for you
-
Water in the bathroom was a hit or miss sometimes worked and sometimes didn’t, made do though!
-
Not a dealbreaker, but the Wi-Fi didn’t work in our room, dinner seemed expensive for the area, and it was a long walk through town to get there. The location is fine if you have a car, but if you are hiking the Peaks of the Balkans trail I’d recommend staying closer to The other end of town.
-
I loved the location of the guesthouse, with the terrace outside for breakfast and dinner. The staff were so friendly, helpful and caring.

The staff was amazing, they helped us with any request we had. Although far from town center, the guesthouse is very close to the river and a nice watering hole The temperature and bare bones of the room. The distance from the center of town and the Theth-Valbona trailhead - it’s one of the furthest guesthouses. Price per night was very expensive compared to other guesthouses we stayed at in the area and for what they provided to us. There was no furniture to put our stuff in or on and basically no toiletries provided.
